This is ridiculous you cant compare lebron to Jordan as they played in different generations but yeah the rest of the list looks good.
i know a lot of peopple will get mad at me for this comment. But i think lebron james has passed mj skill wise. He is a better 3pt shooter, he is probably a better rebounder, and hes got better court vision. He is post game is nowhere near close mj, but thats it. That being said... what lebron dosent have and he will never have, is mj passion and drive to be the best ever. He will never be as good as mj. Period. He will be one of the 5 or 10 all time greats, but he dosent have the inner fire jordan had. And he cant learn that. So sorry to lbj fans, but he will never be that good. As in every sport, skill is as valuable as heart. He will never be his equal. Can u imagine jordan being sweept on the nba finals? Hell even scottie pippen got better nba finals averages than lebron on his frist 2 trips. I cant c that happening to jordan. He was always the better player. You can easily say dirk outplayed lebron on the finals.
Once Lebrons athleticism goes away, he won't have the skills to shoot that well. Kobe and Mj have had the skill to score very easily. Lebron only has the passing skill better than the other two. On Lebrons passion and drive.. It has changed for the last 2 years. If he keeps that fire in him, he will indeed win more championships and MVP awards. Unstoppable force.
Lebron is the best right now. But I still put MJ, and Kobe in front of him. If you're drafting an all time fantasy team, Jordan is the first pick 100% of the time.
He has improve his mid range shot and 3pt shot, but his 40% from 3s are 2 reasons, he doesn't take many 3 pt shots and almost all his 3pt shot attempts are WIDE open, when Lebron has the ball top of 3py line the defense give him space because of his incredible driving and athleticism still cannot catch and shoot same goes for Kobe cannot catch and shoot that's an area where Jordan in especially in his later years would off a screen catch, rise up and pop the mid range jumper Kobe and Lebron needs the ball in their hands to create and score
Are you serious? Two most impactful defenders are Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett and they've been that for the last 15 years(Dwight Howard was slighty better in his prime). Lebron isn't close to that level, because perimeter defenders doesn't have such a impact as frontcourt defenders.
His numbers are inflated due to the imbalance between west and east. I can't imagine what Harden/Durant's number would look like if they play the weak east teams four time each and the strong west team only twice each all year. Huge difference. Even last night's game may just reverse outcome if the fatigue/injury issues are on Heat instead of Clippers due to different strength of past schedule.
Well, Lebron already torched western powerhouses like the Clippers, Denver and OKC. The only team that seems to have his number is the Knicks. Guy is legit and definitely better than Durant. It's not a knock on Durant who has a jumper that can't be stopped by perimeter defenders and Harden who is the most dynamic young scorer in the league; it's just that Lebron is that good. What makes Lebron's numbers so impressive is that the Heat have actually been coasting through the regular season but when they decide to turn it on, they can shut down and blow out anyone.
Crap, now he's going to be practicing with Ray Allen in the offseason and will become the best at moving without the ball.
Hmmm...... He still takes over 3 3's a game. For his career he only averages 4 attempts. You also have to understand most players in the NBA only take open 3s. LBJ has learned not to take contested 3s as often. He still takes them, but usually when he is in the zone.
Its a shame that he didn't play his entire career with one team( that one season of Dream in Toronto did not count). For some reason to me a player's greatness is elevated when they play their entire career with one team.
He takes more than 3 threes a game this season. I wouldn't say that's not taking many threes. Considering that the 3pt shots is not even his specialty, 42 percent is pretty damn good.
If they were in the west, they wouldn't be able to coast through it. They would need to fight every night, and fatigue/injury would catch up on them. Then Lebron would struggle a lot more than he did. Similarly if OKC were in the east, they could coast through the weak schedule and be well rested to beat better teams.
