Shaking my head reading a couple of posts on this page. Some posters just never know when to give up.
That said, OKC still isn't exactly hurting. Ibaka is a borderline all star with room to grow into a full fledged star, and that Toronto pick looks like it could be pretty nice.
Harden only had 16 points in the 4th quarter.... I can clearly see why he should have gone to Lin, with 2 points in the 4th quarter.
If OKC knew he was going to be THIS good they would have gotten more for him in trade or found a way to keep him.
Yep. You make a great point. Harden still had a lot of questions about him and his ability. Even I was worried that he was more of a backseat kind of guy with a lot of his comments he seemed like a guy that just wanted to come off the bench and not have that pressure. I think OKC this trade is not really judged by the regular season. If you have guys like KD or WB you are going to have home court every year. Just like Tmac and Yao would always get into the playoffs no problem, no one cares about that. It's about what they do afterwards. Harden was a HUGE reason they made it to the finals, without him you can make a good argument that they would not make it past the Spurs. Personally I think that they will miss him should they see a healthy Spurs team (I think they can beat the Clippers and other than Spurs/Clips/OKC the rest of the teams don't matter) so we shall see. I think Portland would have gave it all up for WB as well, a lot of teams would have. They definitely could have got more for WB then...I wonder who has more value now though out of the two. I think they (Harden & WB) are on the same tier, the same level of player.
wouldn't call him a superstar just yet.......but he's certainly an all star caliber player with plenty of room to grow.
i called into the radio show and talked to daryl morey and asked him were any other teams trying to make a move to get harden. i told him at the time i couldn't believe he got him for what the rockets gave up. morey said he just had the best offer. in reality he probably is telling the truth, when he said it i thought he was just being modest. okla city had to trade him, they couldn't pay all three, kevin martin fills a need for them, and they got a lotto pick. that's a good trade. however, i'm going to brag a bit, i said from the beginning that out the three, i would take harden. westbrook is ignorant, and durant isn't the playmaker. your foundation piece should be able to create offense. i have never seen a player doing something like this, its like jordan in his prime but he is an even better passer. and like last night when he has a dunk like that two handed you never see his athleticism, he doesn't even rely on it. this dude is extremely special and yeah he's only TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD
It's so sweet to see OUR guy just murderin' fools for once... well, actually, over and over. And that he is learning how to get everyone else going TOO. Doesn't even take that many shots! Amazing. /analysis #you'rewelcome
