That could probably be said of all of the Rockets. They each have their expected roles based off of their abilities, strengths and weaknesses.

What do you mean "serviceable" and "complementary role"? If Lin plays the role of Chalmers, the Rockets will be heading south. For the Rockets to go deep you need two or three others to step up consistently on a nightly basis....it a team sport. If you've been watching when Lin's game is up the Rockets winning percentage is that much higher.

Beverly looks like a solid backup point. High energy, tough-nosed defensive player who is extremely athletic and has a solid all-around offensive game. This kid makes TD expendable.

Parsons continues to show how versatile he is.

Lin's shooting has improved and I think he's turned a corner.

Aldrich is a much better player than people give him credit for. He's no stiff.

I'd trade Morris for a bag of pretzels. If you play the 4, you have to be able to do more than just camp out at the 3pt line.

Pat really seems to have come into his own. Showed off his outstanding athleticism tonight. Would have liked to see more inside physical presence, but it might just be a limit to his game. He's got a beautiful shot.

Harden...well what can you say about the guy. Playing like a top 5 player in the league right now...and it's only his 4th season.

Great win tonight. Rockets are so hot right now ...like Hansel

I missed the first half. Why was Beverly playing instead of Douglas?

Problem is that he always is the one not getting those extra minutes parsons and harden gets in these blowouts, never getting into the groove these can give a player. Building confidence. While harden definitely could be taken more care of in terms of minutes in those kind of matches

James with that GOAT-like all around game. [IMG]

Jeremy has officially found his shot. [IMG]

PPat playing like the max-contract PF this team needs. [IMG]

Omer with his continuous monstrous rebounding. [IMG]

Beverley playing with 4thQ-at-the-Finals type of energy and hustle. [IMG]

Chandler gets sexier by the minute, the things I would do to him. [IMG]

    We are not worthy.

Harden and Parsons had 38 minutes.. in a blowout? seems strange but nothing surprises me with McHale's coaching

Lin had a great game- exerted lots of energy on D and was efficient on the offensive end.

They really tried to neutralize Lilliard so it was wise to give Beverly a lot of minutes to play D on Lilliard, and he did a good job of it.

Finally in the end it was a blow out so starters sat. Those are the reasons why Lin had 28 min

Don't mind to be honest. He was sorta limping about halfway through, and then there was that hard foul to the chest and head.

Just saw fans on portland forum call Lin hot garbage.
    So he basically is
    garbage/backup/below average/servable/above average/good/great
at the same time. :grin:These words were all used often to describe him recently.

You know how rare it is to actually get to watch a superstar unfold right before your eyes? This is just incredible. What fun the Rockets are !
