ClutchFans Game Thread: Blazers @ Rockets 2/8/2013

We gotta get revenge tonight. We just have to.

 

Portland is a tricky matchup for us because of their strength at the 4. jeremy won't be able to play free safety like in utah because of lillard. and we can't leave our 4 on an island against their 4/5. someone else other than lin will need to double. maybe harden?

 

The problem isn't Lillard. The problem is the combo Lillard + Aldrige + Batum + J.J. pick n roll and post game combos.

They execute it FAR better than we do. We guard Lillard tight, Aldridge will have a field day playing post games.

It's much more complicated with Trailblazers starters, they have the ability to trounce any team at any day. I feel that the first thing we need to do is run them to the ground with pace, and then shut down Aldridge when Lillard is tired out. Lillard will start chucking once he's tired and can't drive to the paint. He's done that many times this year. Once Lillard is in chuck mode, victory should be in reach.

 

We need PPat to defend Alridge and at least slow him down or this is going to be a hard game to win.

 

Unless all those chucks by Lillard go in anyway, and we're F'ed.

 

This sucks, league pass is only showing audio. Anyone else getting this?

 

I thought our schedule in January was tough. The Lakers haven't returned to their home court since Jan 30th and won't until this Sunday Feb 10th against the Heat. That's 12 days and 7 away games in a roll.

The Clippers are even worse. Starting Jan 30 they have been on the road and won't be home until Feb 11th with a back-to-back game to finish their 8 consecutive away games in 13 days!!!

Man, Stern needs to be stoned for his ridiculous schedules.

Correct. Don't people realize that bad stretches get evened out by good stretches? For example, the Lakers started the season with a ton of home games... sucks for them that they didn't take advantage of it. You people who b**** and moan about scheduling must be the type that complain about anything going slightly against you in real life too.

 

Are there any places clutchfans meet up to watch games considering the whole csn debacle?
