Jennings didn't get snubbed because he's playing for a small market team. He got snubbed because the East has plenty of better guards than him. Jennings is just a PG version of Monta Ellis. He can look at Ellis as an example. Has Ellis ever made the All Star team?

I think he *deserves* the full MLE. Because I don't think he'll ever be the starting PG on a contender. Ideal role imo: great 6th man. Put him as your Jamal Crawford/Jason Terry

What do I think he'll get? 10 mil. By some team destined to go nowhere

I don't think he's worth more than 9 but I do think he's much better than the majority of you seem to think.

It would be about as criminal as us giving Lin $8.3MM a year.

Aside from his subpar stats, Jennings plays a very redundant position. If he was a mediocre seven footer, maybe he'd get like $12 million. But the max? For a point guard in an era in which nearly every team has a point guard (except, ironically, two teams that recently drafted ones in Sacramento and Milwaukee)? No way. There's little market for a guy like him, and with Tyreke also likely playing the free agency game as well as guys like Calderon, he's not too coveted of a player.

I predict, in a stunning feat of stupidity, that the Bucks replace Jennings with Tyreke Evans.

It just shows the dilemma of tanking - An average team will pick a seemingly great prospect after tanking 5-10 years, and develop him another 4 years before realizing he's not a franchise player. So after 10-15 years, team has to let go of that player in free agency or overpay to keep him.

    > thinks being in small market is reason for snub

    > Zach Randolph (MEM), Paul George (IND), Jrue Holiday (PHI) and Kyrie Irving (CLE) are all-stars

Maybe he just isn't as good as he thinks he is? Goodness I wish players would stop blaming location for their faults.

If we made a team of 12 biggest all-star "snubs" I seriously doubt that he would make it.

    no a snub
not even an honorable mention snub

maybe way down there with "others receiving votes"

I'd like to only work Wednesdays with a two hour nap, but I want my same salary.

This is exactly why someone will give him close to max money. He has the physical skills and is still young. There will be a team out there that will have money to spend and will want to mold him into a past paced point guard.

Personally? DO NOT WANT. Not at Lin money, not at anything. He has coach issues, discipline issues, limited basketball IQ at this stage and cannot shoot... and his biggest problem is he thinks he is great.

Sure there is a 5-10% chance he becomes what he appears capable of (top 3 point guard), but do you want to blow 25% of your cap space on that "chance"? No thank you.

    He's a Heat-killer that's go tom be worth something?

Even though the info is claimed to be sourced from an agent this seems too much like front office trade deadline shenanigans to me.

Dishing the dirt on a player is far too much of an black eye for these managers take especially one of the bigger agencies.

He's not worth MLE on the Rockets. But some other team will give him $32-$40 mil over 4 years.
