based on what? Random opinions slowing down? Or nothing happening yet with a long time to go before the deadline?

No way to call it that at this point

Might be too early to call it a "whiff", but sometimes I do wonder how much the Doc had to drink before he posted.

I would hope he isn't referring to Royce White, because that dude isn't worth this much hype.

If he's referring to Garnett, well, that'd be a small chance, anyway.

Doc has had to appear later and say "this is what was being discussed, okay, so it didn't happen" etc etc.

    This is hilarious.

The only hype around the post is the hype that we've built from it.

based on Morey's comments in recent interviews.

That article is dated January 6th. Probably not connected to something Doc Rocket posted within the last week. Maybe *ultimately* connected, when all the dust clears, but likely only in as much as 'such and such teams were involved', but we'll see.

OK Hitler, truth hurts doesn't it? I didn't mention names, but words that affects and resonates with someone are like magnets. Thanks for proving that.
In reality, this site is really just a fan forum, hence clutchFANS.

Unless I'm misreading that month-old article, doesn't it just say that a team released a couple of players it didn't need in order to have some room to do a trade? I don't see anything specific about the Rockets in it.

I'm sure the Rockets are getting ready to make a trade before the deadline just as most if not all teams are. The Doc still might have some inside scoop he is teasing us with, I'm not arguing about that. But I don't see how this article reveals anything new.

Not saying it will ultimately happen cause we just never know. :) I'm just more into the thrill of mysteries. Like the Harden trade, it took time to develop but we all know somethings gonna happen. And the Celtics really are gonna make a move now that Rondo is out. Just intrigued if Rockets are gonna be in it.

I think we all know that any GM is just saying what he needs to say in interviews, esp. leading up to the deadline. If he was close to landing Garnett or trading Royce, it's not like he'd come out and say it. And if he was smart (which he is), he wouldn't even hint at something that would weaken his position

It means that Celtics have been ready to move, even before Rondo was injured, it was apparent that their current team is not working out. This article reveals that they've been ready and waiting, "ready to check out at walgreens".

exactly. just like harden trade. not much teams knew about it, lessens competition. that's why doc rocket does cryptic messages, just giving hints on the managements plans.

Why does Morey need to say 'we won't do anything that compromises our max cap space for the summer' in an interview?

If Morey feels comfortable mentioning the front office's plans then he does (like desperately trying to sign a superstar; Bosh, etc...). If Morey isn't comfortable saying the front office's plans, he simply doesn't mention it.
