Houston has become more attractive. And Dwight Howard has become less attractive.

He's probably thinking that we lost and did not get calls. Therefore, he wants to go to LA. as in Clippers

All the while, Parsons remains attractive.

I blame Kobe's ballhogging and selfish play for the Lakers sucking not Dwight. Learn about the game of baskteball

Dwight has been in the leaugue how many years and has still not learned a reliable post move?

Kobe is a better post player than Dwight sometimes...

But why would we give up Asik, who's an elite post player/pick and roll finisher for big baby Dwight?

LOL!!! So Kobe is being Kobe??? Who would have ever thought that. They supposedly upgraded at the center position and have a worse record, yet it's Kobe's fault.

You my want to take your own advice.

As much as I hate Howard, he would be the perfect player for this team. Having a center like Howard who can run a great pick and roll would be ideal for Harden and Lin. Having Howard would make this team instant contenders IF he puts in the effort, will, drive and motivation. A motivated Howard is such a threat to any team in the league but an unmotivated, mopping Howard is just another center in the middle...

I would love to have Howard on this team if he changes his attitude and show that he wants to be in Houston. I would hate it if the Rockets sign him and then he starts mopping around like he's doing in LA right now because he's not getting the shots he wanted. Howard is used to being the main guy in Orlando. But in LA, Kobe is the 1st option and Howard is not taking it that well. In Houston, Harden is the 1st option also so Howard needs to get use to that.

As gifted as he is, Howard is not a reliable offensive player at all. He is only dangerous in pick and roll situation and put backs. But defensively, he can change the entire outlook of the game. My only concern is now is how is his health holding up? The Rockets already had a star center who's career was cut short because of injuries. I would hate to see the Rockets sign him to a max and see him in and out of the lineup because of his back and shoulder injuries. This year in LA, he just can't seem to stay healthy and the bad thing is, his back is only going to get worst over time.

I'm all for it so we can trade him to Miami and get LBJ.

    LOL.

Nice try, but let's put it this way, when it comes to two teams with the cap room/exception to sign a player, the maximum raise limit rarely ever matters unless you are talking about a max player, whereas tax/no tax matters much more often. This is especially true for a player making $2.4m, well below the MLE, the team with no state tax can just offer a little more money to start for the same total money, then we are just talking pure gain there.

Obviously for a player like Howard projected to make the max, the no 13% is actually a bigger gain than the maximum Bird Rights raise. Now, assuming that Howard do not intend to suck in 4 years, he actually goes up a max bracket when his contract expires in 4 years if he signs with a non-LAL team. The Bird rights really doesn't offer Howard a financial incentive given no state tax in Houston, assuming that he is confident that he will still be a max player in 4 years.

skyrimownsall has made some of the most r****ded posts I have ever read. One about how black women are out to "Ruin" black men, and one of the stupidest predictions in college football. He doesn't know what basketball is since he plays skyrim all the damn time.

As is right now, no hype bias, Asik > Howard hands down. I hope the Lakers get held hostage and offer Dwight max money for 5 years to sit on their bench with a suit on.

So what's the best case scenario for Houston to build a Champion contender?

Acquire healthy DH12 during free agency
Acquire Smith/Millsap with less money since they'll want to play with Harden+Dwight
Trade Asik for glorified 6th man + perimeter defensive stopper
Develop Jones/Dmo/Smith or trade for sharp shoots and veteran bench players

Am pretty sure this guy will stay in LA, he is looking to get paid and since the Lakers have that advantage of offering more cash I highly suspect he'll go elsewhere.

Rather have Milsap, and/or Josh Smith instead anyway. Really content with Asik being the starter for awhile.
