    16.5%

If McHale did nothing else but made better substitutions and rotations, primarily just letting the starters finish the games?

I know there is a fire him thread and a he sucks thread, etc., but I can count at least 6 games that I feel we would have won if it wasn't for his substitution patterns.

I could go on and on about his other coaching pluses and minuses, but if he would just fix his substitution patterns, this team would almost be in the upper escelon of the western conference!

Maybe not in TALENT, but in wins and loses, I think so.

I count another 6 wins and that would put us at 33 and 18...that's in the top 4!

I don't think it would have made much difference.

I'm not trying to be the coach, but honestly, let's just take two recent games.

Tonight, we may or may not have won, but that lineup to start the 4th was ridiculous and cost us to go down by 12. When he put in the correct line up, we made the game close.

Then at the end when we had a chance to tie or even possibly win, he doesn't play Parsons cause he has 5 fouls when he has been beasting, and instead goes with Anderson who is new to the team and makes crucial mistakes. Maybe we still lose, but I think our chances were better with better coaching.

The last Denver game, same thing. He totally screwed us over. And these are just two games in the last week.

definitely the denver game was lost because of mchale idiocy. this game would be another one. the recent dallas game was another one on mchale. that's 3 right off the top of my head.

he takes forever to put lin and harden back even though they have already had their rest.

he takes forever to call a timeout when the team is going crazy with momentum swinging their way.

no way in hell should harden and lin be off the floor at the same time. at least one should be on the floor at the same time when the game is still to be had.

even that last play i mean wtf was that playcall? throw the ball to harden in the corner with two defenders waiting for him?

maybe morey is purposely using mchale so we dont win so many games because morey loves to pick 15th in draft.

who knows. its shocking how a smart and obvious great eye for talent that morey is couldnt see how bad of a coach mchale was in minnesota.

    That's what you said.

A few games of the top of my head. There are a bunch of good coaches out there right now. Why are we still holding onto Mchale?

Actually man, just give him till the end of the season. I'm done talking about Mchale. Dude is an idiot that will destroy confidence.

Yeah, I know right, if we had another coach Harden would have took on Bron and Wade by himself...

We challenged Heat in an away game after a back to back, and you're complaining about McHale not doing a good job because we didn't beat the defending champions. How about some appreciation for the fact that it was even close? How about some appreciation for the fact that he has been preaching high pace basketball since the start of the season and he's actually gotten it through to the team effectively, with us being the highest pace team in the league. This team is dangerous and other than that losing streak in a rough part of our schedule, we've competed and even blown out great teams like GSW.

I have been following Clutchfans for years and had other user names but wasn't active and lost passwords, changed email addresses etc.

I have been a Houston Rockets fan since 1986....before the Championship Years.

I'm old enough to be the dad of most posters on here.

I also wanted McHale let go last season because he refused to play Camby or any other center down the stretch for most games, choosing to go with Patterson and Scola instead, which I feel caused us to miss the playoffs in the end.

I don't think he is a bad person, and he has some good qualities as a coach/mentor. But his in game management is HORENDOUS and he costs the team games that they could win.

    If pat pat could rebound.
If we could think outside the three, by that I mean give Asik some touches down low instead of Pat Pat:mad:. Mismatch of the year and nobody sees it. haslem on Asik?
If Harden didn't get so scared against the heat like in the finals. I questioned his heart in this game.
If pat could set some real picks.
if Battier didn't single handedly turn the Heat like the flopping Utah Jazz.

Maybe you didn't read my post clearly. I clearly said "maybe we win this game or we don't". The point is his substitution and rotations cost us momentum and critical mistakes that could help us to possibly win more games.
