I think the problem is that all of the Heat are VERY athletic and can rotate fast. As a result, they play great team defense. However, they have no big center like Asik. So why can't we exploit their center position? I also saw Battier was on Patterson early in the game. McHale, can you for once make some in-game adjustments?
It's really sad how many of our own supposed fans hate JLin. I mean, he had only 2 TOs in the half, it's not like he is the reason we are getting blown out. Oh wait, we are not getting blown out! We are still in the game after a great win last night. So stfu and let the guy play. Patterson, Asik, Harden, Douglas and Morris all have 1 turnover...just 1 less than Lin and Lin has to handle the ball more. So it's not like he is the reason that Miami scored 63 points in the half on us..not him alone at least.
Douglas was in there with Heat resting their stars. That's how the team managed to look better during that time. It's about Lebron and Wade, not who the Rockets had on the court.
Liability? the offense is on pace for 112 points. How many points would the ROckets have if Lin just didnt play at all? THe problem is defense and containing the Heat superstars.
just checking in... the way comments were going, I thought Lin had 7 TO already... Did not expect the difference is only 7...
Wow do I have to say this again? The starters will simply run the same double team and physical pressure against TD or Beverly. They will do just as bad as Lin did. Even Harden was struggling a bit on the double teams. But Harden will get his like he always does. Hopefully the adjustments by the coaching staff and Lin will do something in the 2nd half.
Exactly. And one of Lin's TOs was from the jump ball (didn't know they called TOs if you lose a jump ball). I'm not even a LOF and the hate is getting annoying. Our defense on Wade is a bigger problem right now.
Lin had 2 bad turnoevrs..other than that he seemed invisible which is obviously dissappointing but why are we hanging us losing on him? Our forwards are not grabbing rebounds or defending well. The last turnover left a bad taste in our mouths with the Lebron dunk but remember we're losing as a team. Some of you guys are overreacting.
If Lin continues to struggle... would you as a coach still let him play, to gain experience and try to learn and overcome or do you bench him and try to see how another PG will fair in this situation with Beverly?
Even then it's the ref who ran his face into LeBron's fists. Anyone catch LeBron doing an Asik dunk? Taunt much?
Actually one thing I'm noticing is the ball movement was very slow in the first half. The ball wasn't zipping around nearly as fast as it was in last night's game on the first or 2nd units. And we're not seeing nearly as much drive and kick from Parsons, Harden, or Lin. I'm not sure if it's fatigue, or they're not mentally there, or whether it's the game plan from McHale. As for dumping it into Asik and Patterson/Morris, I'm surprised that they're not doing it more given the size mismatch. We'll see how the 2nd half goes...
ridiculous. The same people say Lin sucks 1 day....then the next week they're complaining about how he's not putting up #'s vs the Heat, when the freaking team is shooting 50+ percent and on pace for 112 points!!
