I don't understand what's the talk on the trade. It is all non-sense. I don't anything wrong with the current roaster. Ok, Ok, I give the problem at the 4, but over all it is a young team and with a lot of up room.

I think once DMo get some more minute, he can plays Asik's backup. Smith can move to the 4th with PPat.

I think what Rockets need is a better coach with a defined system. I have no idea what is McHale's system.

McHale's been pretty clear and consistent on his system since the start of the season. He was pretty blunt about it too, I remember in the beginning of the season he basically said we suck too much to do anything other than play fast and hard and share the ball, and he hasn't wavered at all from that message.

For example, during the losing streak,

"We had to see how we played,” McHale said. “When we were playing well, we were moving the ball and moving bodies. We just have become very stagnant over the last couple of weeks. We can’t play like that. If you play in small spaces, you have too many turnovers. We showed them the film of two games we played when the ball was flying. We need to get back to that.

“We’ve shown them plenty of what they’ve done wrong. As a style of how we play, we’ve really fallen off. We’re not pushing it. Sometimes the best thing to do is see what happened when you did. We’re holding the ball too much, playing in small spaces."

His system fits the team perfectly, on the other hand, on the Lakers you have a coach trying to put a square peg into a round hole, trying to implement his system hell or high water.

I really don't understand all the hate McHale's been getting. He's been preaching all the right things for this team.

**** him I would rather have a good 4 to go with Asik up front.

No Howard... He is not healthy. Do not want to repeat the history of having a major player who can not stay healthy...

I criticize Mchale a lot. I agree with you on the merits you pointed out. i think his system is very good. My main concern is his in-game coaching capability, such as substitution and time out.

Endorsement deals are paid to your place of residence, and LA hasn't really increased him above what he was getting in Florida, except it gets taxed a lot more.

Give it time. One of the state goals of his wanting to move from Orlando to Brooklyn was because of the larger media market. He's already starting to reap the benefits of being in LA with the added exposure, such as doing that Center Center for Centers spoof. Being next door to Hollywood means more media projects and exposure opportunities like that. And the increase exposure can bring more endorsement opportunities.

Yao 2.0 would pretty much kill the franchise. I don't think the Rockets would recover, I really don't.

Agree!! He is way to big of a risk for a max contract. I speak from experience when I say people with back injuries bad enough to need surgery, are never quite the same. Now if he would consider giving us a huge injury discount, he would be worth a try but we all know that has about as much chance of happening as Asik winning the scoring title:grin:.

I was quite positive on Howard before the season, but the dude is a big baby....and I don't think he'll ever be what he was, and with that god awful offensive game and mental attitude. I am actually quite happy for Rockets to stay with Asik.

We just need a POWER forward, and recently PPat has been finally playing like one.....

Maybe not, Harden is 23 and would just be hitting his prime when Dwight's deal is over. Worth a shot if you think about it like that.

You would spend max money on a player who has health issues and can't even get a stacked Lakers team above .500? We just went through the whole injury thing with Yao. While any player could get hurt after signing a max contract, Howard has a KNOWN back problem.

Screw Howard. The guy is a baby, backstabber and a diva. He'd honestly be poison to this team. I still cringe at that video where Van Gundy was talking about Dwight wanting him fired and he just walks in all clueless and 2-faced acting like they're pals, putting his arm around him. Even this season he's whining and wanted "more touches" even though he was near the top in post possessions.

He's also Mr. Glass all of a sudden, seems like he can't even stay on the court for more than a game or 2.
