Spring training starts soon, it wouldn't surprise me if a deal got struck near that time. Astros stake in this is much bigger than anyone else's.

Why would we want to saddle ourselves with Green's contract? He's making $9 mil for a few more years and he puts up less points and rebounds than Pat. Terrible!

 

I don't know if this was mentioned already, but DM was on 790am this morning with Matt & Adam. They asked him if he was looking into the Greg Oden situation and he said that just about every team in the league was, but that he himself didn't have enough enough on Oden's status to know where Oden is right now.

Then, they asked him about Boston possibly moving Garnett and DM said that he couldn't comment on that.

I know he can't comment on players moves that are on current rosters, but he could have said something along the lines of..."every team would want Garnett".

I think we're after him, but I don't know if we'll get him. Garnett's price has to be low for DM to move. He also mentioned that he wants the Rockets to have that max cap space for the off-season.
