This is really big for the Lakers. If they did want to trade before the Deadline, they've just seen the stock of one of their blue chip assets plummet.

Also their push at the Playoffs also takes a blow, because they could be without both their big men for a while.

Now we get to see the true value of Pau on this team.

since both Dwight and Gasol are both making 19 mil you think Clark would be traded by the deadline?

Plantar fasciitis (which he's now saying he's had about all season) alone can be a career killer. If he's been getting injections to play through it and managed to tear it? My initial thought is that he's done for the year.

Good news, now Gasol can focus on getting healthy and going to a team where he's properly used. I would take the better option of full recovery. I admit that this makes me happy since any injuries or whatever that makes the Lakers worse + Rockets not ending up with Pau is a win-win situation.

If I was Pau, I'd stick it to the Lakers and opt for surgery. I understand people here like to hate on him, but it's actually D'Antoni's fault his production and efficiency are way down from last year.

Since surgery would be the better option for a full recovery, that would make it easier for the Lakers to trade Pau over the summer. If he's damaged goods, they won't get a plugged nickel for him.

I think everyone (in general) just likes to hate on Pau nowadays.

Whether anyone likes it or not, he's still one of the best players in the league when actually utilized correctly.
