Anderson better than Milsap huh... Lol..

Milsap will get no less than $11-$12 million a year easy.

Yeah $8M would be a huge steal. Some team will pay Millsap more than that. He's a tick above a guy like Goran Dragic, and he's a big man (albeit an undersize one). I see him as a $11-14M a year player along the pay grade of an Andre Iguodala or Kevin Martin. About 2/3 of a max level player.

If the Rockets could trade for him at a reasonable price (in assets) and re-sign him for $10M per season that would be a nice deal for us.

ryan anderson is! he is by far best spread 4 in league. Hes only one who can rebound and isnt a bad defender if u dont count klove a streatch 4

KLove is a stretch 4, and clearly better than Anderson when healthy.

I really don't want Milsap and I would rather have Patterson and sure Patterson is not the better player but he is the better scorer and maybe equals on the defensive end.

Now as far as Lin goes their are many a PGs better then him. Lin right now is middle of the pack or below and you can get PG and cheaper. Lin was massively overpaid. Oh yeah he does not have to be elite he just has to be better the Lin and a better fit.

What exactly are the Jazz in need of? With Favors and Kanter waiting, it seems like they don't need bigs.

no way man Millsap routinely gets 2 steals and a block every game bc of his quick feet and high motor

Patterson is NOT a better scorer than Millsap. He's a better perimeter shooter, but Millsap is a better face-up and inside player. Overall their offensive games are about equal.

And Millsap is also a much better defender than Patrick. He has a very solid defensive game. High motor, smart, plenty of toughness and agility. His only weakness on D is his height, a weakness Patterson shares.

But most importantly... Patterson, 4.6 rebounds per game. Millsap, 8.7 rebounds per game.

No way. Trading assets for him would strengthen Utah's roster while weakening ours, and he's not that much of an upgrade that he's a must trade for player considering he's an UFA at the end of the season.

Im not a Lin fanboy, but I just want to ask the question: Are you ready to pass final judgement on Lin after only half a season of his first full time starting gig on a new team? Just a question...

fair question. i am not ready to pass judgement, but i think most reasonable people can agree that he's not living up to his contract this year. So, maybe he lives up to it next year, but maybe the trend continues. Either way, i'd rather have the cap-space and take a chance on someone who is more proven. The fact that Milsap could make $9 to Lin's $8 is a strong indication of how over-paid Lin is ...IMHO.

LOL at Milsap being worth 8 figures a year. Now some team will be stupid enough to give him that but if the give him 12 then I fill sorry for that team. I would rather have Ryan Anderson and as far are the basketball player goes Milsap and Anderson are close equals. This team needs a strech 4 on the 3 point line and Patterson and Morris are not that. My only problem is Ryan is an average rebounder so I tend to waiver on him because of that.

It would have to be a pretty low offer to be reasonable, and Utah knows nobody will offer much for Millsap on an expiring.

I don't think it would be that bad to give up one of the rookies for Millsap. Of course, Utah probably doesn't want any big men back, so a third team might be needed.

Millsap is worth more than $9M, that's why you think that. You'd have to be crazy to think $10M is too much for a player of his caliber.

Now granted, something like $14M might be edging a little too high. But Millsap will get paid more than Lin, I guarantee it

it is same as your logic, you won't get a reasonable answer from a lin haterboy.

RA did get $34m; Checketts was Utah before NY IIRC. Milsap for 4/34, ok. As you said with #of teams having $$$ room he'll likely do better.

Trade for him? OK - - only if agreement with player (agent) agreed at trade for July delivery.

Just curious - - how many 4s are currently Rox? PatPat, Mook, DMo, TJ, RW, HugeMittsSmith...who have I forgotten? Be nice to see if either/both the RVGs can play NBA ball!
