PPat's number one goal should be to play tough defense and rebound. His mid-range j's money, though.

Patterson has earned the right to stick around. His leadership and shooting are too valuable not to have around.

Hesistant too blow up the starting five. They seem to genuinely like each other and when they play as a team they seem almost unbeatable. They can run anyone off the floor. Give the Rockets a low post player who can play D..start at PF and then spell Asik at C (keeping his knees fresh come May) and then bring in the perimeter shooting PFs (Patterson, Morris and Donatas)

Kevin Garnett may make the most sense. The big move Morey will make should be a proven winner who can provide leadership and be willing to bring whichever of the players leftover from the logjam at PF.

Still too inconsistent. Still want traded badly because he simply cannot string together 2 good games in a row.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I hope we can see more of THIS PPatt going forward, always knew he had it in him but now he looks like he actually wants it.

PPat has to depend on his teammates to get him the ball at the right time for him to get good shots. That's not a horrible thing, many other NBA players are the same way. As our players continue to get to know each others game, we may see more solid performances from PPat.

I remember when PPat was a rookie, it seemed like he would always play his best when he was on the court with Brad Miller. Clutchfans didn't like Miller very much, but he did understand how to get the ball to PPat for some easy jumpers. I think ours guys are starting to understand how to play with each other, and players like PPat should benefit from that.

People wanted to put a lot of blame on Harden earlier in the season for being a ball hog, but I think the players were just so unfamiliar with each other that they had problems playing team ball. I think in the last few games we have seen the ball moving better, and that has resulted in players like PPat getting some good looks at the basket.

he had three games of 20 points I guess earlier this season and had some nice showing coming off the bench....

but yes the bad stretch was a lengthy one

that offensive rebound and put back dunk would have never happened against teams like the heat or thunder.

More of an exaggeration on my part.

But fact is, we've never seen a truly consistent PPatt to date.

I see Patterson's potential as being a poor man's David West without the rebounding numbers that would actually entail.

I will give him props, he played well but I still want to see him do so consistently and against actual PFs and Cs we might have him face in playoff games.

This is one of the reasons (along with Jones and D-Mo) that Morey isn't going to trade for a big name power forward.

I like what he's done recently. But the problem remains that somebody needs to be moved, since there's just too much of a logjam at the 4 and not enough playing time. Patterson, Morris, DMo, TJones, White, that's five guys, plus potentially whoever Morey wants to bring via trade or free agency. Is it better to sell high? If we keep PPat, who do we move in his place (don't say Royce, because his trade value is in the gutter)?

Bottomline is that some of these guys need to be moved. Not just to open up playing time and space, but also to rebuild trade assets (like Lowry for Toronto Pick) to stock up the arsenal to be prepared if a 2nd superstar trade opportunity opens up.

But I do like what Patterson has been doing lately, and he's still relatively young. I just don't think he has the potential of a DMo.

Pat just bought a little more time from me, Morris is now 1st in line, he should some how be included in a trade for a future 1st round pick.
