Yeah, we need a QB who can score 50 points! then we won't need any ILB's. We all know that a better QB could make Walter, Jean and Posey SUPER STARS!!! We don't need any WR's.:rolleyes:

The Texans are still a playoff team and I think they should be able to get a quality vet looking for a reasonable price. I would like to see them make a play for Donald Driver.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Driver announced his retirement this past week.

It's alarming how badly we draft and develop WRs.
We haven't had a single WR draftee in the Smith/Kubiak era amount to anything.

Screw Driver, we need to pry away whoever is responsible for developing their stable of receivers.

Why? If you are referring to AJ, he was drafted by Capers/Casserly and he was already a stud before Kubes/Smith came on board.

Deleted it a second after I re-read what you typed. You were quick LOL

Also, we haven't really drafted a WR early. Posey has been earliest in the third.

Well, Andre was the #3 overall pick, and Jabar Gaffney was a 2nd rounder. But that was 10 and 11 years ago respectively. Aside from them, yeah, Posey was our highest drafted receiver at #68 overall. Jacoby went #73 overall in 2007.

He's going to be too expensive and teams will overpay.(most likely Dolphins)

You guys think Bowe would be any cheaper.

The guy is pretty good but I wouldn't peg him in the Jennings category of receiver talent.

Bowe might get more money than Jennings.

I really wish we would use free agency to shore up the roster and just draft the best player available in the draft, regardless of position.

    You mean Aaron Rogers?

I think our problems at WR have more to do with scheme than lack of development. Right now, our #2 WR is the 4th option in the passing game. That needs to change.

We need to line up 3 or 4 WRs on obvious passing downs more often instead of always sticking with the double TE sets.

Boldin might get released according to Ravens fans. Their salary cap situation is a mess. Maybe the Texans go after Boldin.

That would be the dream scenario. 80, Boldin, and Posey in the slot would be pure awesomeness.

If there's one position this year that we need to be a spender in free agency at, it's WR. It takes receivers too long to develop to expect a huge impact from a late 1st or 2nd round pick.

Spend money on a WR and then sign depth guys at ILB and TE. Then draft best available (taking an ILB in the first 3 rounds).

And you thing Boldin will take less than Market value to come to the Texans because?

Texans cap situation is a mess too.

I have not been following the Texans cap situation. I'm just going by what Ravens fans are saying. I thought that whole Democo cut last season was to save money for next season. Then letting Winston and the other OL who went to Oakland perhaps. Anyhow, I thought we cut a bunch of vets already.
