i don't care, can he throw it seventy yards when his receiver gets open down by 1 td with 31 seconds to go?

He'll still be putting up 3700/22/10 once he's in his 30s.

He can, but usually he'd end up throwing it 75 yards.

If Eli is elite, then so is Joe.

He led this team to the SB. And then came up big in the SB.

well, you can't be elite unless you win a super bowl. but you can't win a super bowl unless you're elite.

    No he is not elite.

He's a 'big time gamer' ala Ben and Eli.

Also an elite quarterback, Trent Dilfer.

Come on, Flacco's a top ten qb, sure, but just because he's on the SB-winning team does not make him elite. I would even still put him in the same class as Schaub...

Well, except that Flacco has been shown to play fine in pressure situations, whereas Schaub... does not.

    *sigh*

Flacco shouldn't have been MVP, he was bailed out by Anquan Boldin on a big reception late in the game, without Boldin beasting the ball from the CB they may have lost.

I'll say it proudly, Jacoby Jones should have won MVP, I'm not saying he is a greatp layer, he's the same guy we cut but he was MVP of that game.

Flacco is damn good. Not ready to lump him in with Brady/Brees/Peyton/Rodgers yet, but the guy is pretty smart with the football, has great pocket awareness (if only Matt Schaub reacted to pressure like him), and a great arm.

Payton Manning and Flacco have the same amount of playoff wins, SB wins and SB MVPs.

Manning won with the Colts 2yrs ago, they had the worst record without him. Would Flacco have carried that Colts team? Hell no.
