is it really that difficult to understand that the texans run a fairly qb friendly system??? when schaub releases the football its going to be to wide open guys, deep routes with safeties trailing. the system allows for a ton of YAC. in a traditional drop back offense, im not convinced schaub would be as effective.. alot of what shcuab does is already ore-determined, hes not really making decisions on the fly. hes running the x's and o's and when the play doesnt develop, he throws the ball away.. if were asking schaub to drop back, read defenses, and shred secondaries.. the turnovers & sacks go up..
All the people who declared that we MUST trade Schaub for a young, running QB or an elite QB no longer have a leg to stand on.
I wonder what the #s would look like , if you factor in: playoff wins, Super Bowl wins, or Super Bowl MVPs.
is that what you got out of that?? schaub probably will make a good coach, if theres a canidate to run the shanny offense in 10 years, its him.. when your qbs best attribute is "he knows the system" its time to stop making excuses and make a change.. every time i see you guys make a pro schaub post all i see is EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES..
this is the most r****ded shiit ive heard in this entire thread... because neither a running/mobile qb or an elite qb won the superbowl this year, lets just dismiss schaubs failures.. you seem to be under the impression that schaub is in the same category as flacco.. flacco is 9-4 in the playoffs, what are the odds that schuab plays 9 playoff games..
The issue is that we have a team filled with people that play to not loose...instead of playing to win...what winners show is stones to make huge decisions and stick by them... With the niners...they went all in on a young unproven kid in Colin Kapernick and he almost completed one of the greatest comebacks in history... With baltimore...Flacco grew up during these playoffs...making huge and timely plays when it mattered... Can Schaub do it?? sure...anyone can and its all about getting hot at the right moment...But here is what we know about Schaub...1. He is immobile, 2. He hasnt played well on the big stage, 3. He doesnt have a cannon for an arm, 4. after 6 years with the Texans, he still doesnt have much leeway as the #1 QB, 5. He is 31 with a massive cap killing contract
flacco posted some terrible qb ratings in his first 2 seasons, he won a game with a 10 QB rating.. but since his 3rd season hes been spectacular in the playoffs 18 TDs, 2 INTs, 102.4 QB average this post season 11 TDs 0 INTs 116 QB rating
in all seriousness, we could be a team that is one and done hosting a division round game.. if we keep getting favorable wild card matchups then schaub could play 2 more playoff games next year..
with his age and commitment from kubiak i say 5.. 2 game snext year and a 1 and done the next.. then 35 year old schaub can ride off into the elite sunset..
Super Bowl victories Flacco 1 Schaub 0 Super Bowl MVP's Flacco 1 Schaub 0 Playoff Victories Flacco 9 Schaub 1
hahahahahahahaha *catches breath* hahahahahahahaha Please don't tell me that this is your argument. Meanwhile, Flacco is sleeping with the Lombardi trophy and was the Super Bowl MVP. Anyone who thinks that Schaub is better, or even on par, with Flacco is a completely delusional Schaub homer. It is not even a debate now. Flacco is much better in the playoffs than postseason, is still young and can improve. Schaub, OTOH, is what he is and won't get any better.
