I hope that clutch did not really ban him. He only said something out of frustration because of some LOHs.
Jeremy Lin needs to shoot that midrange jumper more than once or twice a game. He has to be something like 10 of his last 14 shots a couple of steps inside the 3 point line.
Lin actually reminds me a lot of young Lowry. and i believe he'll develope his 3pt shot later just like Kyle.
I have the same feeling... Besides....I hate to see him jumping before passing the ball.... his upper body not strong enough to pass the ball with enough speed........which leads to many TO.
Between his dumb turnovers, Harden's dumb turnovers, Asik's dumb turnovers, we could potentially have an all-world best turnover team of all time!
I believe his role was limited by the coaching staff. In Linsanity time, he had more freedom. He was allowed to handle the ball, distribute and go to the rim much much more than in Houston. It might also has something to do with his recovery from knee injury, it might take confidence away from him or the coach when he had some bad plays. Lin is at his best in scoring, distributing and motivating the whole team when he is in attacking mood. I hope himself and the coaching staff review the videos of game during the linsanity time and allow him play more aggressively.
Good news is that...they are still young! Once they cut down their turnovers.....Rockets could be a contender!
If he can shoot the 3 with any sort of consistency, then he can be unguardable. He just needs to work on his confidence, mindset when playing with a superstar, and his freaking long range jumpers.
I thought Curry was going to shred him tonight because Lin's a bigger guard that struggles to fight over screens while Curry can use them to perfection but Lin absolutely burned him. He has the potential to be a match-up nightmare for a lot of PGs in this league because of his size advantage (though it can also work both ways) as well as showing versatility by being able to defend larger guards in the post. He's got an elite first step and is insanely quick with his line drives to the basket, while having good size so he can finish with contact. If he can develop an outside jumper and three ball that the opposition has to honor he'd be ridiculous next to Harden. GSW played zone to try and shut down penetration but they got absolutely chopped up tonight. If our PFs had played some better defense tonight this would have been a legitimate blow out by the end of the first half.
