Mr. Beckham also will not collect a salary from PSG; he's donating it to a local children's charity. Class. Am I the only one wondering if donating his salary to charity is also a way of shielding Beckham's other income from French 75% taxes? #hmmm Also from Twitter

Yeah man, I was just wondering. Not sure what city in the world you're in but yeah there's not as much news as there was years ago but he did well. That's probably a portion of the reason why PSG signed him. (Other reasons as well but if he didn't play well in MLS and show he could play a lil bit for 1 or 2 more seasons, I guess they wouldn't have bothered.) We'll see how he does.
What a bargain. Welcome to Spurs!
LOL @ Peter Odemwingie. After making lots of drama about leaving WBA this past week, he made a big show about saying goodbye to his teammates, leaving the facility for the last time, and flew down to London to QPR. Made public statements about how "We" (QPR) are signing good players, have a great future, etc. etc. Problem was, there was no deal signed, so he wasn't allowed into the QPR facility. Had to trudge back with his tail between his legs to West Brom. WBA play Spurs on Sunday, but apparently he has been dropped to prevent further embarrassment. English sport talk radio has been utterly merciless for the past 24 hours. And then, there was this tweet from Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain:

Does Odemwingie need a place to stay tonight?
— Alex Ox-Chamberlain (@Alex_OxChambo) January 31, 2013
 Ouch.
I'm not lol'ing at him. He's an absolute idiot for talking to the press and basically he never seems to have a problem burning bridges. In this instance he effed up, but West Brom played an absolute part. They hung him out to dry. They knew they weren't going to sell him. They'd agreed on an asking price, QPR accepted the price. They asked for a player, QPR were content to include the player in the deal, unfortunately the player backed out of the deal(didn't want to play for West Brom, although that would be better than the QPR ship that Harry is turning into Portsmouth 2.0) and QPR backed out of the deal(West Brom asking QPR to pay Hoilett's wages for the rest of the season from what I've heard). West Brom made a demand they knew QPR wouldn't agree to. They could have simply rejected QPR's bid at the start and not gone on with the dog and pony show. Either way, the lad gets blame for the way he's acted, his advisers get blame for having/allowing him to go down there before paperwork on the transfer was actually done(He could have gone down to London today- Friday to take his physical and sign his terms) and West Brom get blame for acting like they were really going to sell Odemwingie. I don't think he left on bad terms with the other players so he'll be fine with his teammates imo. Now with the coaches and management, there's no coming back for him to them and for them to him. Gotta imagine he's on the bench or playing reserve football until May when he probably gets his transfer.
I'm surprised by how many players are still flocking to QPR after their horrible first half of the season. They're going to get relegated. Why join a sinking ship that's halfway in the water? Must be the London spotlight because I can't think of anything else. Much better to join a club like Swansea with their awesome style of play, or NUFC with their rich history.
Pounds brah. An owner willing to splash the cash in order to stay up, no defined wage structure + no clause in their contracts that will cause a decrease in their salaries if relegated=win for players interested in setting themselves up for a nice payday. Factor in playing/being in London. Newcastle- rich history of winning nada in decades.
That's twice now Liverpool have given away a win against Man City, incredible aim by Augero, good match but Liverpool looked the better side in the second half.
He's clinical when he has his head in the game. Lets see what happens once he gets bored again...and that does not take long for this guy. I don't see this guy ever changing. From all accounts he lacks motivation in the training grounds as well. He'll never reach his full potential.
Jamie Carragher said he'll retire at the end of the season.Always been a fan of his.Good luck Mr Carra. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21371091
