    Hell of a shot.

That said... the defense in a situation like this baffles me. I see it happen a lot with the clock running down, not just at the end of games but even with the shot clock. It's under three seconds by the time Kyrie starts to elevate. If you're the defender... why are you 5 feet away? Why are your hands down? If you come out hard at the 3-second mark, the best-case scenario for Kyrie is an out-of-rhythm running jumper from about 20 feet. I'd say he is significantly less likely to make that than a 25-foot three with his feet set. There's also the matter in this instance that a three beats you, while a two would only tie.

Not to take anything away from Kyrie, because that's a great game-winner... but it blows my mind that defenders can't figure out how to use an expiring clock to their advantage.

with the way Irving is going being in only his 2nd year, I would probably do that trade.

Irving is fantastic, he'll be an elite PG for a very long time.

Just like with Jeremy Lin last year, I will say the same thing. Thats just bad defense with the shot clock going down. You don't just give him that much space. Still an impressive shot regardless.

Wow, where are the Irving haters in this thread? Other Irving threads are filled with "He's not that good" posts

Kyrie irving again clutch against the thunder scoring 13 of his team last 15 points. This guy is a total beast. There s a good clip on nba.com of him, his hesitation moves are just incredible, he freezes everyone there. 35 points against wb.

Is there a way to remove the term "beast" from the slang-A-Dictionary?

Here's Kyrie from yesterday against OKC. Cavs announcers sure were having fun.

Against the best pg defender in Westbrook too. Uncle Drew is legit. Star in the making.

[SARCASM]He's a horrible basketball player who does nothing to help a team win at this stage of his career.[/SARCASM]

Already one of the best closers in the game at that age. Wow.

He would get a lot more assists if he actually had talent around him.

Some LOFers think Lin is just as good. So naturally you point out that NO Lin is no where near as good and then thats where the "he's not that good" rubbish comes from.
