nice pull...that's it. I think in the end, one of Behad's names took the day.

    "Downunder Cuttino Fan Club"

Now, can you tell me who Cuttino is?

Now we need a "Downunder Delfino Fan Club" since it rhymes. Get on it, Smeggy

Hopefully this can be the start of more consistent production from PPat. He's always doing just enough to make you think it could work.

    so is Patterson's play

Good job asset. Way to raise that trade value a bit.

Classic Patterson. Makes a lot of shots off of plays made by other people, and has 4 rebounds, when his SG and SF had 21 between them. Next game will most likely go score 8 points.

Totally agree. I didn't think the Rockets could possibly get a late first rounder or very early second rounder for Patterson 2-3 weeks ago. But maybe I was wrong.

If the Rockets do wind up trading for a Paul Millsap or a Marcin Gortat prior to the trade deadline, it would be terrific to see the team then immediately turn around and ship off Patterson for an expiring contract and a late first/early second in this year's draft.

Another possibility would be for the two trades to be combined, wherein Utah gets the draft pick from this mystery third team (the team that is trading for Patterson) along with the expiring contract from this mystery third team, the Rockets get Millsap, and the mystery third team gets Patterson.

If 2Pat can keep this up ... I wonder if it is better for the Rockets to find someone who could play Asik's role at Chicago. Ie elite defense and high rebounding rate for 15 min per game.

Fair to criticize the rebounding, I suppose, but you can't say he scored only off plays made by others.

His 4th quarter scores also included:

-post up for a hook shot

-2 three point shots (yeah, I guess someone passed him the ball, but how can you give credit to other players for PPat's made threes?)

    -offensive rebound for a dunk

    -dribble drive step back jumper

Saying his points were all set up by others is stupid. He revived the Rockets' offense when it was totally out of gas. Give the man props when they are due.

Don't be surprised if the Rockets trade him for a 1st round pick. I don't know why, but my gut says Morey is targeting Tony Mitchell from North Texas.

Why this constant urge to trade the old great hope for the next great hope? Why not use the players in their proper positions so that their skill sets can be developed in an offense that cater to their strength and that does not instead highlight their limitations? I was mad at 2Pat since the beginning of the season because he was a terrible stretch 4, his 3pt shooting not making up for the loss of a post presence or offensive rebounder. I wanted him traded asap. But since the past few games, Patterson is being played to his strengths: he hustles, defends the pick & roll well and his mid range shot is absolutely money. A great mid range game is very valuable for a PF, I did not know that he had it in him because up to now he was not even allowed to show it as he was camping at the 3pt line. Used properly, 2Pat can become a threat on the pick & pop and hence complements the PNR skills of Harden and Lin. If Morey is really thinking long term, he should fire Mc Hale and get a veteran coach good at developing young talented players and devising an offense that meshes their skillsets.

Was I the only one getting upset that he didn't get more plays called for him? Like I know he's not a feature player but he was obviously riding a very hot hand after that 1st slam.

You box-score hawks are just disrespectful.

Try grabbing rebounds when you're next to Asik, the man is a beast on the boards.

Parsons and Harden were doing work tonight as well, and Lin is a pretty good rebounder for his position as well.

There's only so many rebounds to go around, the important thing is if he can box-out his man and keep them off of our glass, and if he can crash the offensive boards for extra possessions and putbacks.

He's been doing that quite well lately, some of you all should pay attention to the game a bit more, he's doing great, you all have ridiculous expectations like he's meant to be Dennis Rodman or something.

Appreciate the fact that the guy came up clutch in the 4th, respect that he's got a wet mid-range jumper and has developing 3pt range so damn rapidly.

Patterson helped win the game for us tonight and all you guys can do is sulk ffs.

and that is all this team really needs...had our players made all the easy, open shots, FTs and layups created for them we would be top 3 seeds now
