Efficient for a 3, but not as efficient as a 4. I truly believe Rockets need a traditional big man that can run and post, not just stud that can hit the 3pt, although important (live by the 3, die by the 3 - if there's an off night).

Yeah actually he's quite efficient, I just checked. For some reason, whenever I look at the box score I think otherwise. It's actually quite good, he would be considered 4th after carmelo this year if he was healthy.

parsons at 4 is a bad idea. we see some small forwards ran over him, i dont want to imagine him vs boozer, aldrich etc.

It amuses me that half the posters here refer to Cole as 'Aldridge', but this dude refers to LaMarcus as 'Aldrich'.

LAC and Love won't be leaving their respective teams anytime soon. How about a multiplayer trade for Al Horford and Kyle Korver. Horford is basically a true 4 playing center right now and we could use Korver's shooting specialty.

    Are you serious??

Parsons is 10x better than Aldrich.

Did you say Danny Granger makes Paul George expendable? You've got it backwards dude.

No way the Pacers give up Paul George. Danny Granger on the other hand might become available and this should be very interesting for the Rockets.

LOLwut? Walsh is the guy who rebuilt NYC after Isiah Thomas messed it up. They had a pretty good core of guys and were starting to come together when Dolan listened to Thomas again and offered up everything for Melo.

Hey I'm down for dropping some huge dollars on George to get him away for the Pacers and pair him with Harden or give granger a reasonable deal if he is available

Parsons for $800,000 > Danny Granger for $13 mil.

Paul George has the potential to be one of the best players in the league. It's hilarious that everybody knows who's been made expendable aside from OP.

The fact that Granger is 30, his stats are trending downwards, and he has a wear and tear injury in his knee that has kept him out all season is disconcerting.

However, stars don't grow on trees and his game isn't predicated on athleticism, he's got a pretty good 3-point shot and is versatile, he could be our stretch-4.

Obviously not for long stretches, but McHale runs Parsons at 4 to close the game and Granger > Parsons, especially if we want them to be playing the 4.

Both the Rox and Pacers missed the playoffs that year, but the Pacers lost ten more games than we did. Because of that, they were in a position to draft Paul George just four spots ahead of us.

    We got Patrick Patterson.

Yet both teams missed the playoffs.

The lesson is that if you are going to miss the playoffs, then miss them by a wide enough margin to get a good player.

And the Rockets have bigger needs than chasing after Granger.

I can think of better ways to spend $13 mil than trading for a player that plays the same position as your 2nd best player.

Check that. Our 3rd best player. Asik's our 2nd best player.
