Watching GS game and seeing Landry reminded me of him, what happened to him? He was a monster before leaving Houston, had a bunch of nice offensive and defensive games, I think he even had a triple double or 2.. This season he's only avging 17 minutes, 2.5 pts and not even 4 rebounds.. Can we have him back to back up Asik?
Wasn't one of the reasons Chuck signed with Sacto was to be closer to home? Now they are being shipped to Seattle.
I miss the "Modesto Mauler" haha <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/biWPJqauAag" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Chuck is too often the only one out of 5 Kings on the floor to have a clue what's going on. Smart role player like him is as useless on bad stupid team as Einstein is teaching special ed. Needs to move to a situation where his talents are utilized properly.
He's always a consistent rebounder and a great post defender, we could definitely use him since Asik is often inconsistent..but I guess his contract isn't Morey friendly.
The Kings are an awful franchise, no question about it. With that said Hayes has also seemed to be indifferent and unmotivated. He has been overweight most of his time in sacramento and just doesn't play with that same drive that he did in houston. He got his money, he plays on an awful team that isn't going anywhere......those 2 things combined for a player that isn't very talented is usually a bad formula.
Rick Adelman is one of the few coaches clever enough to make him a contributor on offense by utilizing his passing abilities. His talents are wasted in Sacramento, but then again same goes for all the players there.
Averages This Season Games Played: 46 Games Started: 1 Minutes: 16.7 FG %: .417 FT %: .630 Rebounds: 3.8 Assists: 1.5 Blocks: 0.3 Steals: 0.5 Points: 2.5
Sad, Landry's career was also very much stuck until he was with the Warriors. The Kings is really where talent goes to die.
He's still incredibly when it comes to moving his feet and defending guys. He doesn't rebound or score, and being 6-6 sucks, but he's been great this year (and as always) working the low post. Anticipates so damn well.
A player like Chuck Hayes is hard to appreciate on a team like Sacramento. Also, what Rick Adelman did with him was amazing. Really managed to use Chuck Hayes' abilities despite his many limitations.
