I think just the opposite, I would say that Lin is a better defender than Dragic no question.

The picture is changing, and the gap is narrowing.

The picture is changing? Dragic had fallen off a good bit, but even he is playing better than Lin still. Lowry is still looking great this season.

It is tough for a fan to be patient. I still have high hopes long term with Lin, but hopes for this season are faded.

Lowry got his starting spot back deservedly so. He will surpass all of them as it should be considering he is the best of the bunch. Would still take Lin over Goran.

what are you talking about?Dragic has been nothing but mediocre for a while now. Last 10 games he averaged 12.5/6.4 while shooting 41%, 31% from 3. As for Lowry, dude is not even playing starter minutes.

Can we get a comparison for their usage rates as well?

Lowry hasn't been playing starter's minutes because he's been injured a lot. He's playing starter's minutes now. I agree that perhaps I'd take Lin over Dragic, but Dragic certainly isn't playing meidocre. He's playing solid in Phoenix.

No he hasn't been playing starter minutes because Dwayne Casey felt that the Raptors had a better chance of winning with Jose starting over Lowry starting. Also, players complained about Lowry's hero balling, over dribbling, & not getting everybody involved.

Lowry has been getting outplayed by Jose this year, but Brian Collangelo was more of a Lowry fan than the coach was so BC traded Jose (deservedly so).

He got injured early on in the year. Calderon played well in place of him, so Lowry went to the bench. Same thing that happened when Aaron Brooks was here and Lowry replaced his starting job, or last year when Lowry got injured and Dragic replaced his starting job. Lowry was the starter at the beginning of the season and is the better player.

Yes I know he was injured. But doesn't change the fact that the players complained about Lowry openly. Dwayne Casey felt he had a better chance winning with Jose than he did with Lowry. The players also felt the same because they said that they were more comfortable playing with Jose. Lowry had the same problems in Toronto that he did in Houston & memphis.

Lowry is a great player, better than Jose but he does have a bad attitude & he is really tough to play with & coach. For example, Lowry had a back problem a two games ago & he wasn't able to play. Then all of sudden last night, Jose gets traded & Lowry's back is miraculously better. Coincidence?

Lowry: 21.3 PER (5th amongst PGs)
Dragic: 17.5 PER (19th amongst PGs)
Lin: 14.3 PER (39th amongst PGs)

And Lin, somehow manages the most PT of all 3.

PER is not the end all be all. Honestly Lin is younger than both and could end up being the better player at age 26. We'll have to wait and see.

Isn't PER a stat that rewards chuckers/high volume shooters?

Lowry's attitude is questionable, yes. But part of what you were saying might have to do with Calderon playing there with Derozan and Bargnaini for years before Lowry came. The Raptors have committed to Lowry and now that he's happy, I expect him to play well.

If they make a decent percentage of their shots, perhaps.

Because he's playing next to a top-10 player and some winning role players. Lowry's playing with chucking cancers Bargnani and DeRozan amongst others (add Gay to that mix) and Dragic is playing next to nobody.
