It's just a fun, innocent game imo. Like I said, the expectation is not to get the girl but instead it's more that you're bored and just want a quick laugh. And I think it's fair to say that even if only in rare cases, it works as a solid icebreaker as some girls actually find it funny because it's straight out of left field.
