<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8HChu91W_zg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> As someone who's watched the game for 30 years, I'd put him just below Magic and Stockton.. slightly above Paul. The guy is simply phenomenal when he has options and isn't forced to chuck the ball every time down the court. If anything, Kobe's alpha mentality has hurt his teams in the past. Lakers have been undefeated since Kobe took on the role as the primary ball handler. Their W/L% has always been better when Kobe shoots less and passes more. Not saying they're gonna be champs, but if Kobe puts his mind to it, they're gonna be champs. Don't call it a comeback.
Are you telling me? That when Kobe DOESN'T shoot 40 shots for 26 points every night the Lakers could actually win some games? Wow. Had no idea.
the fact that it took him literally half a disastrous season, a benched Gasol, bunch of locker room problems and a fired coach to realize he shouldn't hog the ball tells a lot about him.
Stopped reading, right there. I want whatever the OP is smoking, because that stuff is pretty good, apparently.
You kidding right? He always had options on his team his whole career, the only exeption being the from 2005 to 2007. I think he is capable of being a good passer, but his ego his way too big to let another player on his team score more than him.
What exactly is Steve Nash's role now that Kobe has stepped up to the throne as the new Mamba Johnson? His pnr execution has been flawed, his defense is pathetic and quite frankly he's scared of Kobe or playing in a non run and gun offense. I don't see him lasting past the trade deadline because his game only complements Pau, not Dwight or THE MAMBA. Replace Nash with an athletic defensive stopper, get Pau back in the starting lineup along with Jamison, tell Dwight to shut up and play D, and that's a title right there. I ain't got TIME for tricks and hoes.
There's more to running an offense than passing the ball. Kobe's an all-time great, but he's not on the level of CP3 as a floor general, let alone Magic Johnson. He could have been if he worked at it, I guess, but he was born with the scoringest of scoring mentalities.
