Do you realize how good KJ was in his prime? Charles had a legit all star beside him that year. If you honestly think that Suns roster wasn't good you must not have been watching basketball back then.

A "Rockets fan for Life" who was at the "Finals at the Summit both Times" would know about the Phoenix Team both years.

If Lebron was in the West, then it would be a completely different story.

If Durant was in the East then he probably could.

LOL! Echo tinman, what a joke. Anyone saying a healthy TMac is so ****ing delusional. He WAS healthy for a long time and couldn't do anything but be a whiny loser. The LeBron 2007 performance and the Hakeem 1995 performance are probably the greatest performances I've ever witnessed in the playoffs. This question is difficult to answer because a couple of guys who probably could do it (Duncan) have never really had to do it extensively. I feel like Durant has that potential.

they have to win it for me to be impressed.
i've only witnessed it twice, hakeem in the first championship and timmy in that 2003 run.

as of right now, no one can.
the fabulous divas needed to participate in a ganbang with 3 top five players just to win one.

I don't really understand why people don't like LBJ, Wade and Bosh playing together. I mean, that's the behavior the fans encourage-winner takes all. LBJ and Bosh all consistently mocked for not being able to win a ring by themselves, so rather than KG it and hope they get traded in the waning years of their career they decided to just play together. How's that any different from Pritchard drafting Ibaka, Harden, WB and KD together and forming a super team of their own? Or Kupchak getting Shaq, Bynum, Gasol, Nash and DH to play with Bryant?

The crazy thing is MJ put out a statement when the decision happened saying he wanted to beat Magic and Bird, not play with them. But the thing is MJ got all 6 of his rings playng on a team that can reach the NBA finals without him, LOL wtf? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. The only ones who can complain are people like Hakeem and Dirk, those guys won a ring playing without another superstar.

Lebron in 2007 is the closest to a one-man show all the way to the finals you will ever see. Olajuwon's series vs. Spurs in 1995 was phenomenal, but the Suns and Jazz series he needed all the help he could get.

Yeah, that was when the eastern conference was basically a joke. I'd even say the Jason Kidd Nets teams that made back to back finals were only brought there by the will of Jason Kidd. At least Jefferson and Martin never proved to be as good as they were along side him. They got crushed in both finals but Kidd almost averaged 20-10-10 in those playoffs.

It shouldn't be that hard to understand. A lot of people don't like to stack the deck in their favor. Some people like to have more of a challenge. It's like 10 guys being at the park and all the good guys decide to be on one team. If they somehow randomly end up on the same team and win its hard to fault them but if they purposely decided to all play together so they could dominate it feels a little weak.

To be fair, LeBron's only competition in 2007 was the Detroit Pistons. The other two series the Cavs played were jokes.

Uhh what? How is that pot calling the kettle black? lol.

Michael was talking about not wanting to team with his rivals, who were Bird and Magic at the time. He wanted to beat them and become the best. What does that have to do with the Bulls having a solid team? Your analysis only makes sense if Jordan actually teamed up with players, which he didn't. None of those Bulls teams had as much talent as the Heat have now anyway.

Nets still had a very game Jason Kidd, who was still somewhat of a beast. Though the Wiz were definitely bad.

You don't think Pippen and Rodman > Wade and DinoBosh?

    Really?

Pippen was an all-time great, but his greatness is exaggerated quite a bit. I don't believe he belongs in the top 50 all-time players list. He was a great defender, an all-time best, but just judging raw skill I think Wade in his prime is the better player.

As far as Bosh and Rodman go, offensive skill is on Bosh's side. We've seen how great Bosh can be on his own team. Dennis was obviously the far better rebounder and defender, but I think it's a closer comparison than it seems.

What made those Bulls teams good was their chemistry with one another. They just fit well. With the Heat, they have a quite a few individually talented players, especially this year. Those Bulls teams were definitely better than these Heat teams from 2010-present, but it was due to how they played and not the personnel that they had.

2003 duncan played with a retiring d r obinsin, rookie manu, 2nd year tp who was benched for speedy claxton. Nobody on that team besides duncan averaged 15 ppg. That was a 1 star show, and duncan almost got a quadruple double finishing the finals with averages of : 24 ppg, 17 rpg, 5.3 apg, 5.3 bpg . And he completely destroyed kenyon martin who at the moment was considered a star and was athletic as hell. Theres a reason Duncan teams are always near the top. HE is a winner and he can carry a team in the west... unlike lebron who did it in a weak conference.
