Looks good...thanks for the vid. I have yet to play the 2nd one still, but I fell in love with the first one.
Looks great. Still have yet to finish the first one lol....I think I got around to the surgeon and had to uninstall since my computer at the time was just too awful. Gonna have to catch up one of these days...
Looks fantastic! It's being made by Irrational Games, the studio that made the original Bioshock. I never played part 2, as it just seemed like a cash out. This one looks unique and looks like it could possibly be up there with the original Bioshock.
the bioshock games are definitely revolutionary games but is it just me or do they get somewhat boring... ya you get the new upgrades and new guns.. but it was almost like there wasn't enough change in the game play for me to be excited about it.. the graphics and details are incredible, the story is great.. the game play just seems so so
I loved the first one but was pretty disappointed with the second one. Hopefully this one will be better.
Wow. Really looking forward to this game. Thought the 1st one was amazing, but felt like the second one didn't capture any excitement other then nostalgic feel to it. And helping the little sisters felt annoyingly tedious and repetitive after awhile. Think it's a great idea to change the environment.
Anybody who likes Bioshock, I highly recommend that you go get an old DOS version of System Shock 2 and play it through.
How do you think? It is a DOS game. If you just want to look at pretty graphics instead of concentrating on story and gameplay, you probably shouldn't be playing Bioshock in the first place.
Two and a half years later and this game comes out in less than two months (March 26th). They recently released a "documentary" about the floating city, giving you some background to the story of the game. I haven't been into single-player video games in some time, but BioShock was a major exception.
Cannot wait for this, BioShock is one of my favorites. Sounds like System Shock 2 might be worth a shot.
I loved the first one. I was sorely disappointed in the follow up. I want to like this one. I would love to enjoy the game as much as much as I did the first one. The first one was so cool and original. That's what hurt so much about the follow up, is that it wasn't original at all, really. If this one offers something new and fresh, I'll love it. I just have to be able to wash the taste of the last one out of my mouth enough to convince myself I should buy this one.
Irrational Games wasn't involved in the 2nd one. The fact that they're developing "Infinite" plus the new setting makes me very optimistic that this game will live up to the hype.
Cannonball already mentioned this, but yeah, you can just pretend like BioShock 2 never happened. It was just a cash-in by 2K, and the original staff didn't really have much to do with it. As for Infinite, I've been somewhat concerned about it over its development. Has looked rough at times, and it does seem like there were some struggles internally. Several high profile staff members left the game last year. Usually not a good sign. But there still are a lot of other talented folks there, and they seem to be taking their time, so maybe there's still hope of this being really good. They've been very ambitious about the design, so not surprising that things maybe didn't go exactly as planned.
