    beautiful lady...good ish Tdash
Beer goggles sometimes makes people assume people look like someone else...unfortunately for you...it was that someone...

Just in future for people that actually meet celebs...just tell them you admire their work...and wish them well...and leave them alone...most of the time...they just wanna be normal...

This is probably true, but who really admires Jessica Alba's work? She's got to be one of the worst actresses out there. Even in that abortion of a movie Fantastic Four she stood out as being especially bad. What people (myself included) admire is her body and sexiness.

One of the nice things about living in Austin is that you are apt to run into celebrities far more often than in a city like Houston. Austin is more compact, and a very popular place to visit (and to have a residence) for folks in the entertainment industry (Hollywood), the music business (obviously) and, of course, Texas and national politicians. I've seen Matthew McConaughey several times, and Sandra Bullock, who owns a couple of eateries in town. Both have lived here in the past, and probably still have places here (Sandy Bullock does). I've seen Tommy Lee Jones around town. It's not that Houston doesn't have famous visitors, or have famous people living there, but rather that it's far easier to spot them around Austin, or sit down at a bar, look over, and there's Jessica Alba. Ann Richards loved to eat breakfast at Las Manitas on Congress, where I saw her several times, along with Bob Bullock and even Perry. It was a favorite haunt of bleary eyed musicians (saw Joe Ely there more than once) and other hung over denizens of the city (including yours truly). Sadly, Las Manitas is no more, a victim of Austin's growth. Austin remains very popular and the downtown scene keeps growing. With tens of thousands moving into the high rise condos sprouting up in Austin like mushrooms, there's an undeniable energy there.

Hey, if you made yourself a "fool" in front of Jessica Alba, keep going out. You'll get your chance to do it again with some other well known chick. ;-)-

lol...true...but for an actor/actress...its a much better compliment...they already get hit on...just fake it...at least youll get a smile and a two word response("thank you"...rather than "f off")

    Nice!

    YEARS AGO...

I played a place in Austin called The Catfish Station. After the show I went out with employees from the restaurant/bar to a pool hall to celebrate one of their birthdays and accidentally left my drivers license there when I left. Long story short, one of the bartenders I hung out with got the license and held it at the club telling the owner that it was mine. He was a really cool dude who was excited about a role that he had been recently cast in - the film was Dazed and Confused. I had to go back to Austin a few weeks later to work the comedy club and stopped by the bar to pick up my stuff, that same bartender and I chatted it up about chicks and dreams for a few hours. It never dawned on me that it was Matthew McConaughey until I saw ads for A Time to Kill several years later.

    If only pagers had cameras...
