This, if your going to have an opinion about him, please keep it about basketball. None of us know royce, none of us can judge him as a citizen or man. You can say he sucks at basketball go ahead its your opinion as a basketball fan, but don't attack him on a personal level saying what type of citizen he is and all the other ridiculous comments about a man almost nobody knows.

Good grief gentlemen, expand your definition of citizen.

And on a personal level, I seriously think he is going to suck at being a human citizen. He had a best opportunity in the world for his issues and he blew it by pulling the entitlement card.

He can disappear for all I care.

I hope it all works out. How many of us has done things in their early twenties that we have regret? I know I cant count all of mine. I hope it all works out and he can look back on this after we win a few championships.

Well he should have been charged with theft and trespassing while in Minny,so I'm not so sure about the defense of him being a good citizen.

He hasnt been paid at all by the rockets, in fact, he probably has lost money from the fines he built up.

I may be wrong but I believe that they did not start fining Royce until recently.

I believe that's right. He was paid at first, then they suspended him without pay kind of recently. 20K a game starts to hurt!

Actually, $9,679.06 per day (if my calculations are correct).

Unfortunately, the suspension didn't help the Rockets increase cap room, as only 50% of salary forfeited in LEAGUE suspensions can be "taken off the cap". This presumably was a TEAM suspension, ALTHOUGH . . . it's possible that, by (accurately) phrasing the reason for the suspension as a "failure to perform services required by the Uniform Player Contract," the Rockets have categorized this as a suspension sanctioned by the league and therefore qualifying for partial salary cap relief. Not sure about that, and I wouldn't count on getting that cap room. It'd be chicken scratch, regardless.
