Definite upside. He needs to get stronger, and more used to the NBA game ala Yao Ming.

DMo needs to get to eating down here in the RGV. Lots of botanas will get him bulk up in no time.

I wish he'd get stronger, he has such a clean offensive game

He definitely has it. He needs that core strength, not the upper body muscles.
Deadlifts is the miracle exercise for the core. RDL's FTW

From what I have seen so far...

Decent post up game but he needs to get stronger to establish a deep post. Otherwise they will just push him out.

Tall and lanky but not very mobile.

    Gets pushed around for rebounds.

Looks like another soft tall Euro in the making who will be taking jumpers?

Sorry but he is just not ready to contribute to a winning team yet and jury is still out on if he ever will.

I just noticed that since he barely moves people with his thin frame (even when he runs into them) his defender would have trouble convincing the refs that he commited a charge. ;)

Some people got annoyed by me when I said he needed to bulk up in the draft-workouts/summer league.

maybe it's just perspective, but D'Mo looks much thicker in this video

    First time seeing him play.

Looks like his defense is pretty good. Fast hands. That's all I got from that video.

Is he trying to be Kevin love and jacking up three's? Is he a good 3 pointer shooter?

The guy is 7 foot. Look around the league and tell me all the non-fat 7 footers who are bigger than him.

He doesn't need to "just eat" or "just put on weight" or "just pack on some muscle"....he may need to get a stronger core (hard to really tell any of that from this video....methinks most of you are just regurgitating what you have heard about Euros for years) but that will come with playing, period.

Some of y'all seem truly oblivious to the idea that increased weight gain doesn't always equal a stronger or better player....a lot of it depends on where that player's skills lie. And most of D-Mo's natural skills to not require elite strength/he-man body most of you seem to think he needs.

Asik, Dirk, Gasol, Gasol, Lopez, Lopez, Howard, Kaman, Aldridge, Pachulia, Meyers Leonard, Dalembert, Camby, Tyson Chandler, Bynum, Vucevic, Varejao, Bogut, Biedrins, Ezeli, KG, Aldrich...

His body is weak, he gets banged around. Loses rebounds after body contact. Softiejunas' body simply does not measure up to men in the NBA. And this doesn't even mention his gator arms.

He has a good BB IQ and will do just fine when he is called upon.
