My cousin-in-law just asked me how to raise her son to be like Jeremy. (She knows I follow his journey.)

I'm sure you didn't mean to offend. Please just think about the actual implications of your words before speaking next time. Let's move on!
New CEO of Warner Brothers is Asian-American announced yesterday http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-fi-ct-warner-chief 20130129,0,4696728.story
Caris, Lin talked how Lin's parents raised him during the Sundance Q&A (mark 8:54) On advice on breaking the stereotypes for generations: Lin:" My only advice is pretty much the same thing that my parents taught me growing up: 1. Love God with all heart, 2. Chase your dreams, 3. Have fun along the way, 4. Give your best efforts, 5. Be okay with the results It's very different for everybody but for me it's basketball" What a gem! That's what made Lin tick. I have a newfound respect for Mr. and Mrs. Lin!
951 backers $90,134 pledged of $117,000 goal 16 days to go looks like they will make their goal  hope they get a distribution deal out of sundance
I think there was a video clip of some people saying they think it got a deal but weren't sure and would have to double check. I don't think I've seen any confirmation of a deal yet. There was an industry article saying it was in play, so presumably they're still in negotiations. Maybe there's some detail or fine print they're trying to hammer out, or maybe they can't agree on terms, or maybe they're trying to find the right fit, or maybe they can't get a solid commitment yet. Who knows.
I don't think it's as bad as that. I actually happen to know someone that lives on the same street and I went to visit often. It's definitely one of those nicer neighborhoods, I think most houses there are at least 1-2 million. (but maybe .5 million when their family first bought it?) Lin's family house definitely looks a bit dingy compared to the rest, since it looks smaller on a smaller lot and a lot of the surrounding houses are two stories. And the house looks older for some reason, maybe the Lins didn't take care of their house well? Anyways, I'd say they are solidly upper middle class, though it's probably true their money is tight too since cost of living in this area is high and paying for their children's tuition etc is not cheap
me too, me too... and so does Jessie... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>I really wanted to see this Linsanity sundance film everyone's talkin' about.</p>— Jessie Duarte (@JDfromSLC) <a href="https://twitter.com/JDfromSLC/status/295748440305045504">January 28, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I wonder if this fundraising activity will give the producers a bargaining leverage - for a better distribution deal. # of people pledging and how quickly they attained their goal = the level of interest and potential profit
You may want to use your $20 here, http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/linsanitymovie/linsanity-the-movie/posts/395190#comments
I'm sure there are a lot of legalities to be settled. Linsanity is trademarked so anything trademarked which will be used for profit, a portion of the profits will be going to Lin. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to his foundation or he waived his portion of the proceeds. If the documentary hits theaters and DVD sales, a profit will be made. Who gets what percentage has to be ironed out. What I hope and wish for is if the documentary hits theaters, I hope it will premier in Houston first.
Too bad the Taiwanese isn't subtitled. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NdR37wrQxHg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Are there any interpreters on this forum? Just listening to Jeremy's answers. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BzRDdLWVdP0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
