Royce probably caved. He needs the money for his side business. He is going to go out there and half ass it to get paid. Don't expect anything out of this guy. Can someone with knowledge of the numbers BimaThug maybe, come up with a close estimate of how muchmoney Royce has lost since he came in the league? It's got to be $100,000 if not more! I'll bet the league was about to step in here and nullify his contract, there is no other reason for him to agree to anything.

White's whole plan was to sign a big rookie offer sheet and then coast behind his disability. He thought it would work but he got drafted by the wrong team. Les Alexander and Daryl Morey are not cowards. I wouldn't mess with them when it comes to money, especially not Les. That guy doesn't play around!

    Alongside him.

Royce is Donatas' favorite Rocket; Royce is the only player who passes Donatas the ball.

i just want him to stop doing the freaking talk-shows, acting like a victim. The guy hasn't proven a damn thing yet. He hasn't played one minute of professional basketball. After he becomes successful, then he can do all of the Dr. Phil he wants, but for now, he needs to get to work and start meeting his responsibilities; not just to the organization, but to his teammates as well.

Yep, there's little to no chance that White got everything he requested and it's not about caving because the Rockets showed a willingness to negotiate from the very beginning.

I just saw this. Why was this directed at me and what does it mean? Not angry, just very curious and confused.

Who is Jeremy? Jeremy Lin? Or am I Jeremy?

Good point - he probably sensed (a stretch here) that the Rockets weren't going to succumb to all of his ever-changing demands and decided to take them on, only to find out that he brought a knife to a gun fight.

I still remember seeing the Oprah interview with Laverneus Coles a few years ago. He was sexually abused by his father (or step-father....the details are a bit foggy), but he had told himself that he was NOT going to use his story as a crutch for the rest of his life. Once he had made it as a successful man, father, and receiver in the NFL....only then did he say he was ready to step forward and tell his tale. He didn't want people regarding him as a victim, and giving him handouts because of that. That was inspirational, and this was someone who had gone through a childhood full of traumatic, life-altering events. But here he was, talking about how he DIDN'T want his story to overshadow the fact that he had responsibilities to his kids, his wife, and teammates.

I completely understand what Royce is suffering from. My mother has anxiety issues, and in the times when she's experiencing an attack, it's awful. There is no "talking through it." There is no "manning up." It takes a lot of understanding and patience from everyone involved, and it can get incredibly frustrating at times. When he says he doesn't want to experience an anxiety attack due to circumstances that he's surrounded by, I actually do get that. What I don't like though is him USING his status and this affliction as a way to garner attention for the disease, at the expense of the Rockets. It would be a much BIGGER story, and I think it would help raise much MORE awareness if he came to work, made a concerted effort to contribute to the team, and was open to remedies that were provided to him by the organization BEFORE holding out, and claiming that protocols weren't being followed. It's just disappointing to me to see how far the situation has gone before both sides came to an amicable decision. I still hold out my suspicions of him, and that's unfortunate, because I really don't want to have any preconceived notions about his character.

There is no binding protocol in the language of the agreement, as far as has been mentioned.

Royce caved. It's about money. He is trying to spin in the media that he's a noble "trooper," but it's about money. He was running out.

    What a scumbag.

Don't hold your breath on this one..

Wouldn't be surprised if the date is pushed back or he doesn't join because of #protocol.

Yeah, I agree. I'll believe it when I see it. There's a lot of time left for Royce to screw it up somehow before joining the Vipers.

All the "Are you really ready never to play in the NBA?" finally got through to him.

Rockets are still undefeated since Royce's return. Shows the importance of #MentalHealth.
