If someone is being realistic and carrying on a conversation I'll be respectful and do the same. Think about how you'd react if you were accused of being a racist for no reason.

You're half right, the game threads are almost completely ruined. You have the LOFs and their ****, and the LOHs and their ****. One wide thinks Lin is a mistreated superstar that will point out the faults and mistakes of every other player, and the other side that points out every Lin fault/mistake. Neither side has a shred of logic. Can't forget the other side.

Between the two groups of morons, there is a seemingly tiny minority that roots for the team and doesn't shove their personal bias down everyone's throats. Ignore lists have grown to astounding proportions.

To you're last point, he is not going to play like he did in new York. He needs the ball in his hands to do this and this is just a simple, inarguable fact. Hw gets the criticism because of his fan base, yes, but also the group that had already decided to hate him. For a player in his situation, he has performed reasonably well. Things will get better as they learn to co exist, but they aren't even close yet.

If anyone is depending on these game threads to know what is happening, it's pretty tragic. You can always use ESPN.com's gamecast to get a virtually live play by play.

I use gamecast, but I have always kept the game thread open in another tab

I agree with you. Anyone who joined the site to troll Lin fans is just as bad. They aren't contributing anything either and they are pointless to have around as they don't support the Rockets or Lin. No excuse for that.

I'm not an ingore list person. Just not me. If I don't like something I'll just stop reading. I was just talking with a dude who has a red bar. Obviously, he did something to earn that but he wasn't out of line with anything he said to me. I do understand why people choose to use it

I don't expect him to. If he did he would be a max player. My biggest problem is obviously his inablity to make open shots. What concerns me there is I know he's a hard worker and half a season isn't exactly a slump. It's somewhat telling. I don't disagree that he's best when he has the ball in his hands but so is Harden and that's a real problem. Even on a team with two other superstars in OKC Harden handled the ball a lot. Personally, I think Lin needs to take some initiative and go to the basket. Get to the free throw line and play with confidence. That may get his game going. I can live with the TO's if I see that because it's progress offensively. I don't think many people on this site decided to hate him or hate him now (outside of a few obvious ones of course). I think the vast majority here want to see him succeed. If Lin plays well we have a marketable pg who will help draw other FA's here. Ultimately, thats the main goal because we need another superstar. Paul Milsap isn't putting us over the hump.

It's easy to find a stream but the game threads used to be good for discussion

It's unrealistic for you to expect the same Lin in NY here on the Houston Rockets. You are criticizing him harshly based on his first year as a starter. There now suckle these nubs.

Negative rep. You can lose it as well but only the mods can do that.

I don't expect the same NY Lin and I don't understand your last sentence at all.

Well you blame Lin for negative forums and such, but is that really his fault? I'm just saying you should probably give him more time before judging him. I mean Yao Ming struggled when he first started. Not comparing Lin to Yao but even the greats can struggle in the beginning.

King1, you clearly trolled the entire way in the game threads then you say you don't troll and hate on Lin? Does that seem viable to you?

Harden is NOT at his best when he handles the ball and the team loses.

Actually, I didn't. You need to read before tossing stuff out there. I blame his fan base. I've said that numerous times. You are forgetting Lin has been in the league going on 3 years with multiple teams. You can't treat this as his rookie year because it's not the case. Yao came here having never played an NBA game and adjusted quickly.

When have I ever said I never trolled Lin fans? I haven't "hated" (one of the dumbest words in existance). I've given my opinion. Read

Lin was constantly being demoted to the D-League and hardly got any playing time when he was on the NBA bench. You cannot possibly count that as proper development for a player.

This is the first time he's been part of a system for any extended period of time. Even with D'Antoni, he was thrown into the mix with hardly any prep. Then D'Antoni was fired and Woodson came in. Still, Lin did well.

Kelvin Sampson himself said that Lin was essentially a rookie. Is he just a stupid LOF too? LOL
