Yep. I've bashed Royce White repeatedly. The funny thing is all you see is my criticism of Lin because it's all you want to see.
I don't blame the turnovers on Lin as much as the fact that this young team has some dudes that never really caught those types of passes and have yet to gel together like a veteran team. I see that Lin does have a remarkably poor shot and doesn't quite have the athleticism to finish around the rim like a Rondo would. These 2 aspects hurt his game quite a bit. I think if he get's his outside shot he can drive better but he still needs to up that athleticism around the rim and learn to use the rim as a shield to finish better.
Nothing wrong with it. That's how many Yao fans became Rockets fans. There are many good Lin fans on this forum, it's just the bad ones that ughhhhhhhhhhhh.
Oh then you care only about how he's doing with the Rockets? Well he just ran the offense for the past 2 games which the Rockets won. I don't consider that a joke. Aren't you happy the Rockets won or do you just want to hate on Lin and people who support him?
on either side, there are a few bad apples. who cares? some of us are whining too much. just ignore them if you feel those are not serious for discussion.
Did I start this thread? Of course I'm happy the Rockets won the last two games. Win or lose, that doesn't make Lin immune to criticism. I've said many times I like Lin as a person. he's a good kid. I just don't want him as the starting pg here because I don't think the Rockets can contend with him playing a key role. In terms of his fans, I don't like the vast majority of LOFs. They belong on a Lin fansite in my opinion
Wow, Royce White? Who did not? You talked about lin's turnovers, so who has the most turnovers in this team? Why did not you say anything bad to that person? Lin actually cut down his turnovers, do you know? Lin will have less turnovers if he does not do a few homerun passes. The funny thing is almost all your posts are bashing lin if you check your own post.
i still believe majority are good. some discussions are really helpful. as one having been watching rox since 1993, i learnt a lot from tons of good posters from either side.
Actually, he has supporters. I don't understand why, but they exist. I'm well aware Harden leads the team in turnovers. I'm also aware that without Harden our win total would be cut in half if not worse. Not to mention the fact that you have to take the good with the bad when dealing with a star who handles the ball so much. The homerun pass thing is an excuse since there's no way you or I can control that. The funny thing is not even a fifth of my posts even relate to Lin. I would be willing to bet over 75% of yours are Lin related
I've been a Rox fan forreal since 1994 post season against the Knicks. If they had kept Robert Horry instead of trade for Barkley who is too short and immobile to cover like a true stretch 4 could I think the Rox and Bulls would be the Finals of 1996. Possibly 3peat 94, 95 and 96 but 96 would be a stetch :grin:
You're certainly entitled to your opinion and it would be nice if you repected others as well. The facts are that Jeremy numbers last year as a starter with NY were elite PG numbers - 18.2 PPG, 7.7 Assists, 2 steals. His numbers the last 2 games are 13.5 PPG, 8.5 Assists, 3.5 steals. I believe if he is allowed to keep running the offense the Rockets will make the playoffs this year. As far as contention goes they are probably a player away. However Lin will not be the reason they do not contend. Just my opinion.
i have to check. i think we got barkley coz we didn't do good again sonics in the previous season. we did super good with barkley that season until stockton buzz sounded shot in the conference finals. then the next season, due to barkley injury, everything went to south. based on this, i don't think bakley trade was a bad one.
Harden is a star player, you can not say anything bad about him even he has a bad game with lots of turnovers. Then you bash lin all the time except he plays too well, you choose to rest for a while. Have you bash anyone else besides lin and Royce White lately? None, right? Sure over 75%, are you surprise since I follow lin to Rockets?
