How the F is this even a comparison?

People who violate the two laws in question have a totally different agenda, reasoning, escape situation, etc. It's like comparing GOLD to copper.

I really don't care about that, and YES, it might be an easy way to get money, but if you still are such a dummy that you're caught breaking the parking law, you won't run away, where as murderers will. Something along those lines, but... you might be right. You will not pay with murder as little as parking illegally.

No, Chicago is a **** hole, I live there so I can say it. The poverty and disproportionate racism in the city is absurd.

They don't give a ****. There is systemic racism and those in the government locally to do something about it are either corrupt or more concerned with helping the money and power structure already in place.

Television and liberals will say how terrible it is to be born black in the South... It is sanctimonious BS, being born black in Chicago is far worse.

The whites just avoid the dangerous areas... and that doesn't even discuss the narco drug cartel business occurring in Chicago, which is horrible.

Just an over priced, corrupt city. Fun to visit if you don't know better.

And I live there too. And it's not. One side of the city is segregated, and that also happens to be the worst side. It's almost a tale of two sides when you look at the north side and central part of the city, and the south and southwest parts of the city. There a problems, just like every city has problems, but I really have no idea how you can call such a beautiful city a **** hole.

I had a professor in college that left Chicago to come teach because he had personally witnessed two murders in broad daylight and crowded areas where all those around the occurrences just turned their heads and went on about their day.

This is more than 20 years ago.

I went to High School at H.L Richards (same year Dwade was there) and gang violence was rampant then. I moved to Houston my Sr year of high school though. When I was there, a guy got shot in the face right outside the school in the parking lot for talking to another guys girlfriend (supposedly about a class assignment). The violence there is ridiculous. That stuff happens every day.

I personally thing the fact that they do not have independent school districts up there has something to do with it. They would bus the ghetto area kids into schools throughout the city. Therefore gang violence was always going on in school. Kids were getting in fights daily and kids were getting stabbed once a semester at least.

It is a **** hole. The taxes in Cook County are the highest in the country. Traffic is horrible. The city is segregated, and major parts of the population are born into horrendous circumstances. The murder rate is high, the city is infested with bed bugs. The city is corrupt, and has a major budget issues. The weather sucks from November thru April.

The city is "beautiful" in the typical tourist areas, other than that it is not. The cost of living is insane.

Other than that, it is one hell of a city!

Your other post describing the issues was helpful and ok but this one? Nah man.

Traffic? Come on dude, you could say that about almost every big city, get over it. You think folks in LA have it easy with traffic? folks in DC? Folks in Miami? Come on man.

Weather? Yeah that Lake Michigan wind is dastardly and the weather sucks but at least it's not actually Michigan or Wisconsin. It's bad but could be worse.

Cost of living??? People in LA, Miami and NY are laughing I'm sure. Chicago is bad but you make it sound a whole lot worse in terms of the three issues I just mentioned.
