I watched Clippers @ Suns which was fun to watch as a Clippers Hater and Dragic/Scola fan, but also frustrating. I saw Scola take several fadeaway shots and generally get stuck with the ball in bad situations. Not really a mystery why they are doing so bad, and making Lindsey Hunter the coach is not going to fix it. They have a few good players but Beasley is really, really bad as are most of their reserves.

Dragic scored a team-high 24 points in Thursday's win over the Clippers to go with five rebounds, eight assists, one steal and three 3-pointers.

Yeah, their terrible bad D rap was from the pace and ppg. But (I need to double check this) even middle of the line defenses don't win championships.

Is it possible for Suns to make the playoffs???? If the Rockets don't make it/ the 2nd team I'd root for is probably the Suns because of the obvious previous Rockets player... They have a likable squad that should be decent or even better than the Rockets, I just hope they turn it around/ or is it too late?

No way. They should super tank and build around Goran. They're not going anywhere.

The only thing the Suns organization does right is their medical staff.

If they even still try to make the playoffs they are a joke. Trying your hardest to earn the 8th seed is a short sighted way to keep your team mediocre/bad.

In the short term, Dragic would absolutely be a huge upgrade over Lin. But I'm still not sure his option is worth it even with the hindsight of having Harden. One good thing about Asik/Lin's contracts are that they all expire in 3 years. Depending on other moves, it's possible the Rockets can once again clean cap by then for a charge at another FA. Would you really give up that option to get Dragic?

Time is fleeting, I still remember those stacked Phoenix teams, highlights were fun to watch, they just couldn't convert those prime years into a title.

Meh. The guy left us for more money and demands.

Besides, Dragic needs the ball as well, so we would be paying more for the same problems.

That's one thing that I just can't understand on clutchfans. Dragic is an even more ball dominant PG than Lin and can't run an offense properly. Lowry, for all his talent, is an alpha dog on steroids that quit the rockets precisely because he was being asked to do what Lin is doing right now: share the ball with another ball dominant guard. And yet people insist that they will be a massive upgrade at the point while ignoring the fact that the odds are that they would suck just as much. The current rockets do not require a traditional PG and that will be the case as long as Harden is the franchise player. Harden, at some point, will have to have the ball taken out of his hand to be successful but the way to go would be acquiring a real combo guard that can shoot and defend well in a modified triangle offense where Harden is not reduced to a rich man's Kevin Martin.
