pierce is the heart of the franchise but i think they have to trade him klow and bargnani for pierce would be intersting. next season they could go for dwight and with rondo back they would have a great prospect
agree with Woj, although I think a team trying to make cap space for summer 2014 might be willing to give some young talent for Pierce http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--r...celtics-face-harsh-new-reality-014726749.html
Blow up for WHAT? They are unlikely to get any raising stars by trading away KG and/or Pierce, only teams that want them are those in playoff hunt, which means no good draft picks neither. If they want to tank, they can tank with KG and Pierce. If David Kahn is in charge of Celtics I may think blow up is an option, but unfortunately Twolves scored Kahn first.
Absolutely. They should have done it a couple of years ago. With Lebron in Miami they were not going to do anything in the East even with a healthy Rondo. It's time to rebuild.

Personally, I'd rather suck for a few years than see KG and Paul be traded and retire somewhere else...
They can get some good draft pick this year if they trade one of their good players for a bad player and expiring contract.
Yes, they should, and they should get some great, promising, strong rebounding forwards in Patrick Patterson and Marcus Morris in the process, as well as solid center Aldrich (forgot his first name). These are some great building blocks for their future, as well as the 2nd round draft pick we will give them. Also, we will give them some cash to help their rebuilding project. GIVE US GARNETT.
I was listening to the radio with Chris Mannis and Ian Thomsen from SI.com. According to Thomsen, there is very little chance that Garnett will be traded because: (1) The Celtics are grateful to him and credits him for changing the team's culture (practice habits, intensity, etc.) since his arrival; and (2) Garnett has a no trade clause in his contract so he cannot be traded without his consent. Thomsen said there is a better chance that Pierce could be traded. Also, here's a quote from the Celtics' owner, Wyc Grousbeck: Apparently Pierce is not the heart of their team.
Beverley would fit the Celtics' style of play better than Douglas, while Douglas fits better on the Rockets with Harden or Lin.
If possible I would trade for rondo now I would rather have rondo for the future then Lin for the future
