He should learn how handle this kind of situation or else he will come accross
    as bitter and whinny.

lol I did not even notice that, thanks for pointing that out. :)

Heaven forbid Jeremy tears an ACL or something and can't play. What are you whiners going to complain about then?

Houston won, Lin played well and you fill pages and pages of tripe ragging on Williams.
In the @ss of my life you Lin fans are the biggest hemorrhoid.

He also had 8 points in the 4th quarter with the lead hovering around 10-9 I believe. I'm not here to excuse his turnovers though, but he came through in the 4th.

I understand McHale is trying to ease the pressure off Lin, who is one of the most self-conscious and hard on himself players that I've ever seen -- but he's always going on about how Linsanity isn't "realistic."

Doesn't that basically imply he doesn't think Lin will ever play like that again, that it's his absolute ceiling (even though he's improved on some flaws already -- of course not enough yet)?

I mean, it's kind of like saying, "You aren't that good."

I would rather have a coach tell me I can do it again?

And then the Spurs game, and all Mchale could say was "Jeremy called off the screen, he called off the screen. He was...good...good...no he was fantastic <sigh>"

Did any of you guys notice that Mchale was talking to Harden and Lin after the game. It was like, "you guys still respect me right?"

Mchale ran away from the run and gun offense and we lose 8 out of 9. That 1 that we did win was against the Bobcats. Whoppeee. I think that player's meeting was a mutiny against the coaching staff, and they decided to run and gun themselves and we ran NOLA out of the building and we ran Brooklyn out of the building.

In all honesty, I think the Rockets team mutinied against the coaching staff. I mean, player's only meeting? Calvin Murphy calling the play caller out? 2Pat calling out? I don't think TD was too happy being replaced by Beverly. I don't think Lin was too happy getting benched in the 4th. And now, they run and gun. The only difference is that the Rockets players have too much class to call for Mchale to be fired. I mean, we got the least number of technical fouls in the league. The only ones that had technical fouls was Marcus Morris and Patrick Beverly.

But definetely by judging the last 2 games, we ran the ball, fast break. All these events to me sounds like they mutinied.

Dude, get real. Maybe they started playing better defense, which allows them to get out and run more.

Which is the more plausible explanation? McHale has always said that the team strategy is to push the pace and run, so I don't know why you are imagining that it was McHale that made them stop fast breaking during the losing streak.

Are we just going to ignore the monster game that Chandler Parsons had?

Well, whenever the Rockets got the rebound, we ran the ball. When you say "better defense," what does that mean? Does that mean we only fast break on steals but not rebounds? The last two games, we fast break on everything, including rebounds. Watch the games again in our 8 games in 9 stretch. When we rebounded what did we do? We dribbled the ball half court and gave it to Harden.

During our recent losing streak, we got some rebounds right? I know we didn't get 0 rebounds. But the last 2 games when you look at the team, they were looking to fast break on everything. Rebounds, steals, it didn't matter. Hell, we were looking to fast break even when the opponents scored. Quickly take the ball out of bounds and run immediately.

Lin said before the game that Mchale asked the team to watch film on what the team could be, and what we shouldn't. It's kind of strange because it's like, well, our losing streak was because of your play calling (per Calvin Murphy).

Omer was scary bad butterfingers at first... but they kept feeding him the ball and wow he was even dunking. Nice to see they didn't give up on him early. They let him settle down and do what he can do. Confidence in each other will build. More of this attitude will build consistency in all of them.

Has there ever been a game where Lin started off hot but faded in the 2nd half? More often than not, he seems to be kind of a non-factor in the first quarter or so, but really turn it up in the second half.

Maybe he's an adjustment-type player? Once he gains more experience, he may not need halftime to adapt to the game and then he can be better in the first half more often.

Yeah. THat is why I am happy they continued to feed him those bounce passes. Omer needs to learn & build up that consistency and they only way that will happen is with continuos reps in game.
