As long as his TOs are mostly from the homerun passes or charging fouls, which prevent opposing team initiating fast break. Still, too many of those TO can hurt.
Half of Lin's TOs came courtesy of Asik's stone hands in the 1st quarter and a phantom charging call. Not too worried.
Did you catch the straight up punch to his left biscep at the end of the third? sometimes wonder if they all need football pads on
Nets broadcast is talking about this same issue right now , only for their D-will. I bet these nets announcers were influenced by lofs after logging on to the internetz so I will take their 20 years of basketball experience with a truck load of salt.
it all depends on how you define ISO. 8 sec ISO is bad since it allows other team to set up its defense. 8 sec ISO also stops own player momentum. those quick ISO should not be called ISO. James clearly sped up his ISO play. it helped him to get baskets easy and also broke down the defense.
Agreed. He made 3 bad home run passes. 1 was under thrown, 2 were way too difficult in my opinion as he was trying to do a quarterback in traffic type pass. I can live with the occasional under thrown pass. That just happens sometimes just like over throwing. It was the 2 crazy hard passes that were terrible. Two TOs were on drives when he didn't get a foul call. And the last was the bogus charge calls. I can live with those calls as you're going to get those calls a decent amount of the time. Otherwise, he had a solid performance, the team TO's were down, we had very democratic scoring lines, Harden still got his 29 efficiently, we lead the game early and never gave up the lead, and won handily. Can't really complain about too much.
Yeah, Lin has been handling himself better in the paint. It's not all Asik though, some of Lin's TOs were due to trying to catch the defense off guard in transition which is fine in my book. Some passes got by the defense, some didn't. He'll learn to pick his spots a bit better.
It all started with defense! Great team effort, Brooklyn had to shoot a lot of threes (36) and happened to make a few but other then that they couldn't do a damn thing. Credit Asik and team overall defense!
I'd like to see the stats on whose running the offense more during this game and the last; if my eye-test is accurate, then I'd guess Lin's % has gone up and Harden's down, resulting in more t/o by Lin--though Harden had about 6 in the first quarter last game; and as others have stated before, the more t/o's Lin has, the less the team has.
Harden played some nice cutting and driving to the basket, as well as catch and shoot. It is nice to see him doing that. He was also asking Lin to come and get the ball. Seems like these two guards are figuring something out. Is Asik getting a new nickname? His dunk is so exciting! If he can turn all of his lay-ups into dunks, he will be unstoppable!
