Now, despite everything I've just said, if someone like Motiejunas can show up on the Rockets and be able to run the PnR effectively with Lin, that changes everything. Without a legit PnR partner, he's not as good.

He's right about Patterson as well, everyone here hates on him way too much, he's a true PF that's trying to be turned into a Stretch-4, of course he's not going to be productive.

we have ALOT of casual nba fans on this forum. We suck at rebounding someone brings up lin, Asik fumbles easy passes someone brings up lin, etc etc. F *** lin this TEAM needs to step it up

now, you care about his stats more than team. it is contradicted with what you believe (
). lin was a TO machine in NY but NY still won those games. as long as winning, i am not peeky on his TOs.

Go back and look at how effective a lin/harden pnr is.

The point is that the difference in Lin and Harden's assist/to ratio is very small so it wouldn't make up for the huge gap in the percentage of times Lin turns the ball over and wouldn't make up for the percentage of the time Harden scores compared to the percentage of the time Lin scores when handling the ball.

Not close to as effective as a PnR would be with a big man.

Motiejunas doesn't play with strong base, but he is a finisher. He is used to playing against stronger opponents, so it may not prove issue with setting picks.

But his ability to catch the ball and make the quick pass or finish around the rim is why I most want to see him in game action with Lin.

Wins mean nothing in a rebuilding year.

His quickness to the basket along with his great hands and post moves makes him a great "roll"er and his sheer size makes him effective at picks. That's something I am looking forward to seeing.

I personally would have preferred the Rockets win 10-15 games all year, but I understand why they'd want to get the chance to get 4 or 5 games worth of playoff experience.

IMO this team is incomplete and would be better served with a top 3 pick in the draft to go with the cap room for a max FA, but again, that's just me.

Tell that to Morey. Jason Friedman said time and time again in his twitter and Rocketscast that the number one goal of this season is getting into the playoffs. Wins mean everything to Morey, let alone for the coaches who want to have winning record for their resume for future jobs.

Wanting to win so badly explains why our rookies are not played that much, and why our coaches prefers to play whoever is hot more in the game.

The fact that none of our starters have ever logged a full season getting starters minutes before in their entire careers also would explain why they are getting so many minutes.

Coaching solution always seems to be bench Lin, its really the same impact as having him on the court because he is just asked to stand there and be a spot up shooter in any case!

This is very good thread. But some idoits quickly turn it into almost as same as other unreadable ones.
Please put your **** on other ones.

We finally have some HOFer nailed on current Rockets issue.
