Scoring is the most important part in the stats of players, which determines how much they are going to make in the next contract. And defense doesn't usually show up in stats. Therefore it's easy to see that if a top scorer doesn't lead the team in defensive effort, the team defense will just go downhill rapidly.

Yes. Exactly what I have been saying. If Harden isn't efficient on offense with his ISOs, he becomes a liability because he doesn't put any effort on defense. The team meeting was to call Harden out on not playing any defense. Players are pissed that Harden doesn't play any defense, but he doesn't get benched for it.
I don't doubt that you are partly right about this. He really half asses it. Lots of matador defense with an attempt to make a steal or else he just jumps the passing lanes sometimes. But the meeting has to be about Hardens defense, and iso-ing. Also, I would think Harden and Lin need to be taken to task about the turnovers and getting caught in the air a lot with nowhere to go with the ball. Unlike LA, we know who's the guy, ppatt even said it. There is no dispute about it except on this forum. What we lack is veteran leadership to create some accountability. The problems we have have to be communicated and done so in a delicate fashion. Too many ego's in the NBA. Odd to see ppatt give this insight. I wonder what the atmosphere is with the team.

Why doesn't anyone move around or cut to the hole when Harden or Lin drive? This is just as much coaching's fault, as it is the rest of the players on the floor. I seriously doubt Harden or Lin want to go 1v5 when the ball is in their hands
I find this really hilarious. Back when harden was playing well everyone was praising him saying we got ourselves a superstar, now that he is struggling some people are saying he sucks and that he is making us lose. Gotta love some "fans"
Are you saying harden basically goes against coaches' will? Is there nothing wrong here with the coaches?
Pretty sure Kobe passed almost at the same rate whether he's played with Walton/Fisher/Smush Parker or he's played with Dwight/Gasol/Nash. Usually a coach who wouldn't hold his star accountable for selfish play and bad D is more of the reason for a star not sharing the ball than poor teammates. Continued losing could develop players a lot of bad habits that are hard to rid of too.
