David Lee has been great but can he lead that team to wins without Curry? No way. If you have 2 deserving players from same team you pick the better player. I can understand why Charles was so pissed. But anyways, congrats to Harden.
It's meaningless if you do not come close to deserving it. I like Lin a lot but no way has he played as one of the best PGs in the NBA. Harden has been one of the best SGs this year and should justly be recognized as such. Why are you talking about coaches and the downturn of the team i a thread about Harden making the all-star team.

You're right it is inappropriate. I guess it's because when the season is going down the toilet and the team played like a joke against Denver I don't give a CRAP about the All Star game. I won't make any further comments except: CONGRATULATIONS JAMES!
Congrats Harden. Deserves it irregardless of recent shooting slump or over iso-balling. He's been our best and most important player all year. Would've loved to see Curry there. You don't shoot 45% from 3s on 7 attempts per game (that's 14 points already) with one of the league-leading TS% over 40+ games without being an all-star. People were talking about JR Smith (joke). After a hot Nov, he's shot 28% from 3pt land for Jan/Feb combined. It's so hard to take so many 3s and hit them over 40% for any long period of time.
Well deserved! This selection, in particular exclusion of Curry, really shows you that when Lowry was getting some love early last year and All-Star worthy even if he kept performing like he did, he would never have gotten in.
You know, I voted for Harden and Lin (and Parsons and Asik), and I was actually pleased Harden made it to the All Star Game...but why do people still have to call Lin a scrub, and put him down while congratulating Harden? It's really hypocritical. There are those who say they hate Lin fans for putting Lin up on a pedestal beyond criticism, and then ragging on everyone else. Well on this thread you can see people raising up Harden beyond criticism and tearing down Lin. And please don't say it's because of Lin fans because rationally, there isn't a reason to hate on an innocent Rockets player just because of the actions of others. If I were to follow that kinda logic, I would hate Harden cos of the actions of Harden fans. But I don't, because it's nuts to hate on him for the behavior of fans, when Harden has never said or done anything to me personally. Anyway, I said my piece, not that it's going to change anything or anyone's opinion in the slightest. All flames will be ignored.

I read the original comment and I made it a few pages until I saw people bash Pat2 for opening his mouth. I don't want to further derail this thread by making a comment about that, but suffice to say I dislike the lack of real discussion about topics without insults being thrown either at each other or at players. I know, it is the internet and people troll but still, it'll be nice if regular folks can post a thought without someone shutting them up by calling them a hater, a LOH, a LOF, an idiot, or whatever else people can think of. People can't help themselves I guess, but for those of us who can maintain some self control, it would be nice to not contribute to that. But apologies to everyone else here for digressing. It's GREAT that Harden got in cos now I don't have to feel like my votes were all being wasted (like on Lin, Parsons and Asik). In the East, I voted for KG, Irving and Paul George and I'm glad they made it too. 4 out of the 10 I voted for isn't too bad.
Please do not put everyone in the same box. It is possible to be a Lin fan and be a reasonable person. You can even be a Lin fan and a Rocket fan and a decent, reasonable, educated person. Also you can be a Lin & Harden fan and want them to both do their best along with the rest of the team and WIN WIN WIN! There are many people on these forums with all kinds of agendas. Some just like to stir stuff up. They get a thrill out of manipulating people's anger. They have their ego stroked when we go at each other. These are NOT Lin fans , these are not Rockets fans, these are sick sick trolls who may actually live under bridges. Put posters on ignore. Don't play into their hands. BTW Yippeee!
