I would guess being around other people makes his comfortable. Especially if he likes them for whatever reason. When he's alone..he stews in his anxiety without someone there to show him things are fine.
It's amazing how much the Rockets organization is putting up with this guy when he hasn't even shown he can play well in the NBA. Yeah he was good in college, but the NBA requires a lot more commitment and consistent behavior to succeed. He's shown neither of those traits. He just looks like some lazy a-hole using a mental disorder as an excuse to avoid responsibility...not a good person to invest millions into. Just a bad, bad decision by Morey. They need to cut this chump and move on to better, more stable prospects...let someone else worry about the bum.
Really hope we've turned a corner here. We need good players. Royce has a special skill-set. I strongly believe that our future starting 4 is already on our roster between D-mo, Jones and Royce. We just need to get them time on the court. Really hope Royce can put hs head down and go to work. He's got a lot of catching up to do.
I've said before Royce should be a politician, look at the way he enraptured the interviewers and some people here, by saying nothing at all

I don't see how he wins that suit. The ADA doesn't require the Rockets to bend over backwards nor does it require them to go against the CBA. If anything Royce would have to go after the whole NBA/NBAPA because they are the ones that put the CBA in place. Royce appears to be asking for much more than what is required under the ADA.

I just think the Rockets gotta keep handling this guy with kid gloves at least while he's under contract. The guy is an enigma.
I mean, I understand the bad feelings and anger towards him, but I don't understand not rooting for things to work out with him. The hate for the guy seems to go beyond what's reasonable. I'm not saying you have to like the guy, but perhaps the ultra-hate is misplaced. It's not like he slept with my sister and never called her again. It's not like he spat on my mother. But you'd think he mistreated animals or peed on a schoolboy by the strong hatred this guy attracts from fans. It seems a little overboard to me. Why do people take it so personally? The dude's mentally ill.
Actually i am not in the "hate Royce" group. I belong to the "disappointed in Royce for not facing his problems" crowd. I too wish him well, but if you noticed, Royce White threads had disappeared from the front page. We were already on our way to forgetting about him.
Well now, I can't wait to see if this will all be done with come February 11th. Let's see if Royce does make it down here to the RGV.
