Here's the thing, it bothers me that PPat feels the need to say this to the media (no, not because of his own shortcomings) but because it AGAIN shows a lack of a true coach. Yes, most people and apparently now even the players are realizing James handles the ball too much for his own and the team's sake, this should be something a competent coach should be addressing behind the scenes. I wonder sometimes if the rebounding is suffering b/c he is often out at the 3 point line. Prior to this year he had had a total of FIVE 3 pt attempts (w/ no made 3 pointers) This year 77 attempts ( 27 made). That is a huge difference in where he is on the floor.
If you want the praise when we win, then you take the heat when we lose. That's a franchise player. How he responds to those things determines superstardom. Pat is right, even though he has been disappointing this season.
