Winning time of possession and putting up 7 instead of 3 doesn't stop the Pats' big play ability. A team that can put up 40 probably has the ability to put up points in a shorter amount of time, and the opposing QB is a nonfactor in stopping that.

hell why even have a quarterback. You apologist are ridiculous. The ravens won their games with offense, putting pressure on manning and brady.

Because we got victimize by 50 yrders all game long . . . .

The Patriots run a ball control offense of short routes
    and opportunistic medium routes.
Their speed in scoring comes from hurry up offense

WHICH BRINGS ME TO A POINT
[And this is on KUBIAK AND NOT SCHAUB]

I go back to the point where before Wade got here . . . Kubiak did not let the defense
raise its hands up and block balls in practice.
Once Wade initiated that. . . our defense became better

Considering we don't do hurry up in a game
Do you think we do it in practice?
That being the case. . how does our defense practice against the hurry up???

Are you talking about mental pressure? Pressure to catch up? The Ravens win had nothing to do with their defense forcing 2 early FGs or clutch turnovers. Do the Ravens win if Peyton doesn't throw interceptions? Both of Peyton's picks came when they were tied.

I'm not an apologist, I'm down to draft a replacement.

The Brandon LLoyd TD to put them up 14-0 should qualify as a big play. The Shane Vereen TD. It doesn't have to be Andy Reid style 50 bombs, but they're certainly a quick strike offense, partly because of the mismatches created from the no-huddle. And pats no-huddle is not a normal no-huddle. There were games where the pats had 90 plays, where normal games average 60.

if you don't blindly ridicule Schaub for all the texans problems then you will be labeled a Schaub apologist. If you're really lucky he will then have an emotional breakdown/temper tantrum like a child.

peyton threw an interception after the pressure was applied by the ravens forcing overtime. the texans were never close to a position like that

I just have a hard time believing that the reason our defense was totally unprepared for the Pats offense was because our offense doesn't run the same offense the Pats run. That's making a HUGE leap.

It's not as if the only way a defense can be prepared for an opposing offense is if your team runs the same offense. Ever hear of a practice squad? Those are the guys that get paid to run the opposing team's offense/defense.

On 3rd and 5 with plenty of time to continue running and see if a play develops. What does he do, he throws it away!!!!!! He is even shaking his head at the end of the play. Just horrible

I would love to see how the Schaub apologists defend that.

Limiting mistakes, taking what defense give you, live to play another down, battlefighting etc.

Don't mean to argue, but the defense gave him a lot more than a throw away. He had a lot of time to continue scrambling and to see if a WR could break away or get open. And live to play another down??? It was 3 and 5 and NE had just scored and regained momentum. This was a crucial down where a play was REQUIRED OF HIM.....

    Nope . Not possible .

He can only operate in the realm of "normal, robotic and efficient play. "

No leap . . . I don't think that is the reason . . or at least not the whole reason
my point is. . . I remember that one team practiced against a person's playing style
all week . .. to prepare for them . . . we cannot simulate their style with our personell.

basically. . . it could have helped

LOL yeah I know, but was answering his sarcasm before any of Schaub's fans had a chance to actually jump on any of those excuses.

I dont think that play by Schaub is defendable. In fact, he had about 8 poor pass attempts.

However, when you consider he dropped back 51 times, I think he played ok.

He didnt play exceptional...and he wasnt the reason we lost. He was just there.

Can anyone pick 10 people who played better on either side of the ball? The defense got completely rocked. The OLine didnt play that well...Foster didnt play that well...we dont have any receivers other than Andre.

I'd love to upgrade Schaub...but sitting here and b****ing about something that there is no solution for right now is pointless. We can always draft a QB, but Schaub is our QB next season.

That's really all there is to it.
