Not sure what this has do with bias. What you're saying is that Rockets fans have imperfect understanding of NBA basketball. It has nothing to do with bias towards players. This imperfect understanding applies to every single player. Hence, no bias.

All the poster you responded to said was that torocan's a LOF who pushes an agenda for Jeremy Lin. Something that torocan himself has admitted over and over in many of his posts. I find it laughable that you're defending him on something that he himself has never claimed. The guy was upfront about his fanaticism of Lin from the get go. And all his posts basically support that intense fanaticism.

    This is utter hilarity.

You're not understanding. Torocan has an opinion. You have a bias (obvious) -- read the tone of the above.

And most of all, you have "imperfect understanding". Sorry, you're not worth arguing with. If everyone had no bias/opinion, there would be no argument on this board. It's simple logic. So do you claim you don't have any biased opinions in regard to the Rockets? Yeah, tell that to the people here. I'm done with you dude.

I have biases for many things, but not against any Rockets player regardless of his race, background, or anything else besides his on-court play.

I am stating a fact about torocan. I have no idea who he is in real life and I could care less about being biased against him. The idea that you think I have an agenda against a guy I've never met is why you're hilarious. And I'm responding to you because you're like a car wreck. I can't help it. I know it's stupid, but I just can't help it.

I have imperfect understanding of basketball. Yeah, no kidding. If I had perfect understanding, I'd be working for the Rockets to bring them a championship and not using this board to waste time.

What makes James Harden a true competitor?

You guys have to remember that harden is 23 on a new team, no training camp, and never been the number one option. Has there been ups and downs this season? Yes. Is he avg. 26 5 and 5? Yes. is he an Allstar? Yes. Are the rockets 500 at the midpoint of the season? Yes. These are all good signs for the new franchise player. Iv said it before and ill say it again wait till harden has 2 more years under his belt. He's putting up phenomenal numbers while learning on the fly. What the rockets really need is a legitimate post player who can score and create down low. This three point run and gun offense sucks and it won't ever lead to true contention. Maybe the rockets need to look at Bynum and if his knees check out bring him down here. Him and harden would make a great inside out tandem.

Nothing wrong with what torocan is posting because he's been very up front about his intentions. The problem is LOFs parrot what he says as is it were the gospel truth.

Stats aren't truth. Stats are stats and can always be shown or misconstrued to make a particular point, good or bad.

    Where's the list of LOF's?

There's one thing I want to see more of from Harden. During some of the losing streak, he was still jacking up shots even though his % are crap. I want to see if he will do this everytime, when his shots are falling.

Do other #1 option pass it more if they know they aren't hitting?

    Edit.
While looking for other #1 options, i just saw Lebron's season stats. The dude is straight up beasting. OMG look at that %.

Um. Thats because he's uh...well....Lebron James.

But on a serious note I noticed that earlier this season, Lebron is an amazing player but the proof was in the pudding. Look at Wade's FG % as well. Its gone down but a week ago or so it was on par with Lebron, still over .500 though if you see what I am saying.

The type of system both are playing in complements their roles and gives them high % shots.

The one guy that stands out is Kevin Durant. The guy is shooting .517 while leading the league in scoring and playing next to Westbrick who is putting up 22ppg at 41% FG.

Harden can take over a game. That makes him a number 1.....

This year Harden has changed his style of play from a support player to the Go-To guy... Look at his shooting percentage last year, he was over 48% scoring almost 17 points per game (the guy can shoot the ball).

This year he's hoovering between 43% and 45% (goes up and down depending if he has a bad shooting night, but he always manages to bring it back up over a period of time).

But when Harden figures it all out, I expect to see his field goal percentage going back up to that 48% range.

10 free throws a game, and he's getting to the line legitimately. Kevin Martin used to get to the line a lot, but he flopped a lot.

Stats are important, but often times cannot measure every factor and torocan knows it as well. For example defensive win shares can be inexact based on team defense, etc.

James Harden is certainly a #1 option, and bordering on being a superstar. In my opinion he has a high basketball IQ. Whether he takes the leap to superstar or remains in the Carmelo Anthony territory will be decided in the next few years.

Harden is still figuring out his balance. He clearly has the tools to be an elite playmaker (he makes some beautiful assists). He has solidified himself as a top 10 NBA talent, which is definitely number 1 option material.

1.Harden has an exceptionally low basketball IQ. He's just a rich man's Kyle Lowry.

2.Toroncan is the leader of LOF.

    3.Harden is not a legitimate #1 option.

4.Lin fans are honestly that stupid.

    Wow, what else? :grin::grin::grin:

Wtf? Sarcastic post I guess? Kyle had a pretty high ball iq, if harden is a rich mans Lowry he would have a prett high ball iq which I believe to be true.

Nice, leave out my posts where I bash on Lin or straight up support Harden. So hating on the coach makes me a LOH. 95% of the forum hates the coach.

Also how does one search on these forums. Can't even search my own posts.

I'll stick by my points. When Harden gets some leadership abilities, he'll be a legit #1 Option. Harden is top 10-15 right now for sure.

    1) LBJ
    2) Durant
    3) Kobe
    4) Chris Paul
    5) Melo
    6) Dwight Howard
    7) Russell
    8) Rose
    9) Kevin Love
    10) Harden

I'll put Harden higher, but the other players have just done more. Harden a first year starter will get his dues, when I can see him do it for another year at least.
