What height do you take as short, normal and tall for men? Do you see being tall as a importance or factor when it comes to peoples social lives? Also when it comes to dating and relationships? First impressions? Its effect of confidence? How tall are you and how do feel about your height? Just curious, as a basketball fan i probably am a bit more insecure about my height then the average guy (with seeing the insane height of players all the time lol), i also see this in many shorter or even avg height hoopers.
I think that the fact that I am 5'6" has everything to do with the fact that I have a masters, credits toward a doctorate yet live with my folks at 34, am unemployed, single, and Jeremy Lin has lost his jumper.
I'm a 6'1" man. I look down on puny short people as I roll in dough, get easy promotions, and take my pick of swooning women.
I'm 5'7"-5'8" Growing up I had insecurities about my height, especially being as much in love with basketball as I was. However being 26 I look back at how foolish I was to worry about it so much, not a big deal to not be 6' Tall = 6'1" and up Normal 5'9"-6' Short 5'8" and below Your either going to let it get to you or not, and when you finally wave the white flag and accept it you discover what a non-factor it is. The negatives of being short are really the implications of insecurity which can severely effect your social life among other things. Accepting who you are helps get over the insecurity and anxiety of being short and when you do you see no one either cares or notices and it was all in your head all along.
Lawl, people will clown on you cuz you're showing insecurity, not cuz you're short. It's not a hindrance if you carry it well. For girls, non athletic work, etc. Ralph Lauren is a super short guy but look at the grit in his eyes. He's got a steely exterior, a tender heart and a vision - that's how he swooned women far before he made it. Trust, height don't mean **** and I'm in the 6's.. you just need to have a dog in you. On the flip side, my cuz is pretty tall, 6'7, and he never liked it (though that's normal in Denmark). Says it scares away "normal sized" people.
And just when I was feeling crappy about being short, broke, unemployed and having ruined Lin's jump shot, you post and I feel so much better. I'm not Honey Bear!
