I'm not ready to jump ship on him just yet because:

    - there's no denying the team is young and has played together for a short period of time.
    - they have shown the ability to win games. They can look good and VERY bad.
    - I don't believe the team is complete as it sits. Pieces are still needed to be put in place.
    - so many of those calling for Coach Mchale's head are those who think that this should be Jeremy Lin's team. When that doesn't happen with the next coach the Brass brings in, then what? That's not to say I don't have confidence in #7. I just don't believe that many of his fans will be happy until Lin is canonized.

Would he really want to coach this team? Are the current players his type of players and would trades be made in time this season to get his type of players?

I'm starting to worry JayGoogle, if McHale stays for the rest of the season, I'm afraid the damage will be irreversible. :(

You would rather wait until this team is 10 games under .5?

Morey was too smart to put his future on the line with McHale. It was cleear to me that this was a Les hire. Why would Morey go through literary hundreds of applicants screening for the most qualified when he could've just hired JVG, whom he highly paised?

What it means is we are stuck with McHale til the end of his contract (2014) unless Les steps in. I seriously doubt Les will so that, giving Rockets had NEVER fired any coach in its history.

Morey is blameless and a genius. McHale was not his hire. His tenure will outlast McHale, whether you like it or not!

so we've been losing because lin, right? how about those TOs by harden? why don't you jump on him for all the TOs during the losing streak? heck, lets trade lin so we can win every championship for the next twenty years!

Where is your justification for "so many of those"? So when a point guard is properly utilized, the team becomes the point guard's?

If we play up-tempo game, we will win all other teams. But up-tempo game is not the strategy of our coaching staff, because they are slow-style-like and up-tempo cannot show their ISO+3pt+failureS.

You might have to clarify a bit. Chaney was fired mid-season and replaced by RudyT. Other recent firings were all after the season was over or contract had expired.

mchale has no clue, why did we hire this guy? it took everyone by surprise when he became the coach, if he was so good, why didn't anyone hire him? have you seen his post game interviews? always looks dumb-founded, always scratch his head like a monkey. saying the same old **** like no ball movement and the ball is sticky, really, wonder why there is no ball movement? it's almost like the Kobe and the lakers, one person shots over 100 shots a game and everyone stands around.

I want McHale fired, but I don't know if it will happen because management might feel sorry for him from losing his daughter, etc. I sorry for him too, but he just isn't the one to be coaching this team. He needs to be with his family.

JVG wasn't a Morey hire. Adelman was great, Mchale is meh. Morey will be around for a long time though, so get used to him. He's been pretty damn good too, imo.

    I agree completely with this.

As for my earlier post I was just thinking that the team exercise temperance.

I look at it from the perspective that we have a coach that has never led his team to the playoffs. If it was his first or second year I'd be more lenient. He hasn't shown himself to be an X's and O's guys or a great motivator. Our GM talks about needing superstars but what about a decent coach. 0 playoff appearances in Mchale's coaching career and not looking like it'll happen this year either. Great players rarely make great coaches and McHale is proof of this theory.

Meanwhile Sloan, JVG and SVG are unemployed and have a history of taking teams to the playoffs

What does any of that have to do with his horrible substitutions, running players to the ground, having them play outside of their strengths, lack of a true offense have to do with this team being young?
And really, you're being selective on who you see wanting this man gone because you have a weird obsession with Lin fans. This long ass thread was started since last year and right now everyone expect you and maybe some trolls are still on his corner.

He sucked last year and when he was with Minnesota as well. The man has never proved he's a good coach. Are we really gonna hold out hope he suddenly learns how to coach?
