Yeah I'm confused about why Lin is benched 4th, this lineup was not working no defensive stops at all actually got a lot worse after he was benched.

But lets not even talk about Lin here...I'm pissed off because he is not resting starters when game is all but lost, wtf McFail?

 

Man, I don't comment on coaching too often, but wtf are they doing??

McHale needs to insert Anderson into rotation.

 

Have you seen the SG position in the NBA... it's weak.

And yes.. everyone in that OKC locker room knows who exactly the "man" is on that team.

It's not Harden's fault. Coach wants him on the court, what else is he supposed to do?

 

Lin allowed to do his job in 2nd. McHale: Oh noes! I didn't authorize those screens! How dare you! Chew Lin out for doing his job at halftime and make adjustments to make him bring the ball up and immediately pass it off, that's what Lin is authorized to do. Then bench him for the stupid strategy not working.

I wasn't even talking about taking the 3 though. I have said it before he should only take the 3 when he is wide open. Lin needs to drive to the basket more often AND attempt to finish; a lot of times I have seen him kicks it back out to the open player. He could also take more mid range jump shots.

I'm telling you, the guy looks stoned...I do feel really bad for him though b/c of his daughter, he should be back at home with his family, maybe settle in to a management type role...guy is really horrid as a coach

I'll tell you one thing Sloan wouldn't let Harden chuck if he wasn't busting his but on the defensive side of the ball.

 

The offensive style is too one-dimensional. It's forcing the team into too many TOs, ISOs, and reliance on 3s. Hopefully the team gets a better 4 that helps on rebounding, defense, and gives some options on a half-court and inside game. There's a dearth of good PnRs, which seems to be forcing Harden & Lin to get bogged down at the top of the key. Luckily this team is young and there's still time to make adjustments.

 

McHale misses his daughter and the family. Send him home to minnesota for his own good.
